To whom it may concern,
Re: Alandra Dufresne
It is my pleasure to provide a letter of recommendation for Alandra Dufresne. Alandra worked as our Summer Wellness educator at the Canadian Red Cross from the beginning of June to the end of August 2012. She came to the Canadian Red Cross with a background in education and a strong interest in educating youth. From there, she took part in bringing awareness to youth about summer water safety and disaster preparedness by attending events such as the Woody's Triathlon, Lacombe's Kiddies Carnival, Central Music Festival and many more events throughout Central Alberta. Alandra also supported the City of Red Deer's annual "Refugee Camp in the City event in June 2012, where the Red Cross promoted the Restoring Family Links program. Alandra demonstrated ease and confidence with the program materials and shared openly to the public at all the events she attended
She also assisted in the Disaster Management program by working closely with the staff and store manager's of the Wal-Mart's across Central Alberta to raise funds through their yearly campaign for our organization's Disaster Management program. Alandra also organized 2 separate days for the youth volunteers at the CRC where they assisted her with administration duties and various projects; she also took time to educate the youth volunteers on water safety, disaster preparedness and to have an increased understanding of the Canadian Red Cross and always with a positive attitude.
Alandra was an asset to the Red Deer staff by providing office coverage during staff vacations and was very helpful in loaning medical equipment to our clients which was much appreciated by our staff members.
Alandra is organized, efficient, self motivated and works well in both a team or individually. She has always displayed a high degree of integrity, responsibility, and ambition. Alandra is completely competent in project management and has followed through all projects that she has been given and was consistent in her high level of service and professionalism to the Canadian Red Cross. I appreciated working with Alandra, not only because she is a highly intelligent individual and has a great work ethic, but she is also a very easy, positive person to be around.
Alandra would be an asset to any school who hired her in her chosen field of education, and I am happy to give her my wholehearted endorsement.
Sincerely,
Leigh Baker Community Development Coordinator Red Deer Branch
