INTEGRATIONN COMMISSION; THE NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE
SERVICE; AND OF AMBASSADORS AND HIGH COMMISSIONERS His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta today appointed Mr. Francis Xavier Ole Kaparo as Chairperson of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission. President Kenyatta also appointed Ms. Belinda Akoth Ochiel, Ms. Irene Njeri Wanyoike, Mr. Adan Abdi Mohammed, Dr. Roba Sharamo, Dr. Joseph Wamocha Nasongo, Mr. Morris Dzoro and Professor Gitile Naituli as commissioners. The Chairpersons of the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights, the National Gender and Equality Commission and the Commission on Administrative Justice will also serve as commissioners on the National Cohesion and Integration Commission. Following vetting and approval by Parliament, President Kenyatta today formally appointed Major-General Philip Kameru as Director-General of the National Intelligence Service (NIS). Major-General Kameru was sworn into office this morning at a ceremony witnessed by the President, and Deputy President William Ruto. President Kenyatta also formally appointed 25 officers as Ambassadors and High Commissioners after they were vetted and approved by Parliament.
