Helpful Info
Communion/Lords Supper
All followers of Christ are welcome to
participate in our Service of
Communion. If you have prepared
yourself for this very special moment
with our Savior, you are invited to His
table. (1 Corinthians 11:23-30) Please
take the emblems as they are passed
and partake when you are ready.
Some prefer to take it before passing
it along.

O!ering
In all of our services, a special time
for giving is set aside. Participation is
an act of worship and voluntary.

Nursery
We have a friendly, well-sta!ed and
impeccably clean nursery located on
the north side of the narthex. Please
see an usher for directions.

Join us in offering our
community a fun
family event!

We need!YOU!
Our volunteers will make
this night! Please
volunteer in the courtyard
for one or two time slots to
oversee a game. We
promise you will have as
much fun as the kids!
AND, there will be candy!

Candy! We have collection bins
in the foyer for all candy
donations.

Invite every
family you know
to come have fun!

Changes are made in the Sanctuary
between the 9 and 10:30 a.m. services
and we could use your help.
We need volunteers to help move a few
tables, light candles, set up communion,
and the prayer wall and make sure that
everything gets done so the service can
start on time. Help is also needed after
the 10:30 service to make sure things
get put away properly. Wed love
enough volunteers to set up a rotation,
about 5 people are needed each week.
Please contact Jenny Statler
(jenny.statler@chaparral.org) or Michael
Statler (michael.statler@chaparral.org) or
see them after the service if you can
help us make these transitions.
Haiti Team
In less than a week
our Haiti Team 2014
will be in Northwest
Haiti. As we begin
our countdown and final preparation, we
have several needs:
1. Prayers - For God's glory to be revealed
and that we be open to His leading, for
patients and the medical staff and for
safe travels.
2. Old and unneeded SUITCASES to pack
medical supplies.
3. Baby powder and bottles of Melatonin
for the Miriam Center.
4. Empty pill bottles.
Donations placed in Fillmore this week will
go to assist with helping our students and
providing needed supplies. Please indicate
HAITI in the memo line on checks.
Friday, October 24, Service Opportunity
at Sunshine Acres. We will be serving
with students from Scottsdale
Community Church at Sunshine Acres.
We plan to do an acoustic worship set,
a small message, and then make
s'mores by a bonre. Boys bring
graham crackers, girls bring
marshmallows and leaders bring
chocolate.
Join us October 19th for Baby Dedication
Sunday! Go online to the Chaparral

Breakfast Retreat

CHAPARRAL CHRISTIAN CHURCH
Join the Men (and their friends) of
Chaparral Christian Church in the East
Hall for a special home-cooked
breakfast, followed by a time of study
and conversation. Ladies are
welcome!
Fellow Chaparral member, Dave Cooke
and his good friend, Barry Adkins, will
be sharing their stories as fathers
dealing with the pain, heartbreak, and
adversity of their respective sons
journeys.
Both Dave and Barry have made a
passionate commitment to share the
experiences of their faith and the
lessons learned in their experience as
an insightful, inspirational, thought-
provoking guide for other men and
fathers in their community.
Their highly engaged, interactive
program provides authentic insights
into Daves and Barrys journeys
while encouraging attendees to
participate in guided, small group
discussions to share and reflect on
what they heard and learned.
Breakfast is by donation; reservations
would be helpful to plan the food. Call
the office at 480-991-9878. Visitors are
not only welcome, they are encouraged
to attend! For more information contact:
