Position Title: HR Generalist

Reports To: Manager, Human Resources

Location: Florence, KY

Business Group: Aftermarket

Function: Human Resources


Overview:

The incumbent will have primary responsibilities in a variety of human resources activities. Due to departments
interface throughout the facility, ability to share accurate information, develop positive relationships and foster
high customer orientation will be paramount to success.

Dimensions:

Population: Approximately 500 fulltime and 100 supplemental
Facilities: Florence and Hebron, KY

Principle Accountabilities:

Maintain and support union free environment through accessibility and responsiveness, consistent and equitable
application of policies and utilization of open-door policy.
Manage vendor relationship with contract employees (Pinnacle, Cafeteria).
Administers local Positive Employee Relations strategy.
Deal with employee-related issues.
Assist in internal and external recruiting process from outreach through interview participation and decision
coordination to scheduling pre-employment physical and conducting four (4) hour orientation sessions.
Administers local annual hourly wage and benefit programs, including annual wage survey.
Manage PeopleSoft reporting, auditing and report generation.
Assist in HR initiatives: SDP, Skills Assessment, Training and Development, Ethics, SBC/COI, Diversity, etc.
Assist in facility training requirements.
Assist in facility degreed programs: field questions and coordinate/solve issues.
Serve as facility liaison to community involvement: Power of Volunteering, Activities committee, Diversity
committee, Recognition committee.
Manage EAP program.
Responsible for managing day to day Operations employee relations, compensation and progression issues for
Operations.
Creative thinker with the ability to suggest solutions to customer-related opportunities.
Ability to adapt and learn quickly, and progressively take on new responsibility.
Positive attitude with focus on customer service.
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
Organized, able to handle multiple tasks at one time, with attention to detail.

Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills:

3-5 years of HR generalist experience
Advanced computer skills
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills are essential to provide timely administration of assorted duties
Prefer high analytical ability to sort and apply information
The Aftermarket Organization has the right to deem a person qualified for a position if that person has had one or
more years experience in the position or similar position

Education/Certifications:

Bachelors degree in related discipline

100% office environment
