it. Besides, forks has to stretch into the plate for more than 2/3.
Moreover, notice with the balance of the machine while removing it.
During transportation, the machine can not be over the ground for more

4. Tips for Installation

When the installation is done, technician should give the tension wheel and
others a trial operation- make them spin for 10~20 minutes with no wire
loaded on.

Procedures:
1.
Booting up system and properly thread through the wire.
2. WT=0
Set WT=0

Unplug Pin no.92 in Drivers Cabinet

Press Wire Feed button and keep wheels running for 10~20 minutes.

For preventing the vibration it my cause machine problemduring

transportation by truck.
Before power into machine and start to execute sparking , you must
check the wiring layout of the generator whether fasten well or not ,
the checking point as following
1.
Check each of the screw which located on the socket of BOX/PCB whether
fasten well or not.
2.
Check each of the socket whether plug-in well or not.
3.
Check each of the screw which located on the relay whether fasten well or not.
4.
Check each of the socket which located in the generator of water tank whether
fasten well or not.

As above , please check each point in detail , after that , you can
reboot the machine and do test later.

4-1.

Each separate unit (machine body, water tank, power cabinet) should be
installed according to attached floor drawing.

4-2. Precautions on allocation:

(1). (Presses)(Planers)

Avoid placing the machine nearby the press machine, planers , machining
center or other sources of vibration and stroke, for machine accuracy to be
affected.
(2). (Corrosion)

Avoid placing the machine nearby the heat treatment equipment or

electroplating plant, for the controlling unit will be affected by corrosion.
(3). 221
Placing machine in the air conditioning plant of the room temperature at 22
+-1.
(4). (Dusty environment)

Avoid placing the machine in a dusty environment otherwise machine

function might be affected.
(5). ()

Make sure to leave enough space (as shown in floor plan) for maintenance
usage, especially enough space between water tank against wall, and power
cabinet against wall for repair convenient.
(6). .
If there is TV set or wireless reception equipment, etc. nearby, machine
should be placed in the insulated room. Please refer to 12-7 Preventive
Measures for Electro Magnetic Interference.

Leave enough space for machine normal operation, travel movement and
maintenance when machine installed.

4-3. : Special points about wire EDM power

supply.
1. 1 13KVA
13KVA for each wire EDM.
2. -----115KVA, 2130KVA.
Transformer-----Suggest one 15 KVA transformer for one set and one 30 KVA
transformer for two wire EDM.
3. -----1115KVA(2130KVA)
AVR----- Suggest each wire EDM equipped with one 15 KAV AVR separately.
One 30 KAV AVR for two sets wire EDM is not recommended.
4. -----
Chiller----- Be sure to connect in front of AVR and at backside of transformer
to avoid unstable power supply voltage.

Install the cooler under an airy environment.

Do not recommend use of AVR/ Transformer 2-in-1 type.

Must provide the circuit of connecting the ground and confirm it in good, that can
make while machine breakdown the hour, avoiding personnel gets electric shock.
And ensure when operate machine normally , input power supply do not generate
unusual noise and make machine at mistake action. Need refer to government
according to the region the laws rules, at least in Taiwan country have to provide
third kinds of method for connecting the grounds, please see attached file. .

Mechanics are supposed to do the measurement of Ground Resistance and fill

it in on the Confirmation Form.

The electrode of ground-wire has to be in post, tube or plate shape and

connected by welding or with assigned clip.

Also, mechanic should not tag any additional switch or facilities onto ground
wire.

and area over 900mm square before burying it at 1.5m depth.

Circular electrode must be no less than 15mm in diameter, 0.9m in length, and it
has to be hammered vertically 1m deep into the earth, or horizontally in case of
insufficient thickness of soil layer.

Remark 1: The connection between grounding terminal block (in power cabinet) and
ground-wire (as mentioned above) is essential for stable electric
potential. However, the ground-wire can easily get corroded buried under
the earth, so it must have good pretreatment.
To make the ground-wire constructing job easier and save space,
mechanics can choose the post-shaped, which has connectors attached
on.
2:

Remark 2: Ground resistance value concerns with the electrodes length, diameter,
how deep it is buried, and also earth resistance coefficient. To decrease
ground resistance, there are two common ways:
1. Applying conducting cement: it creates no pollution and has similar
properties as common cement and can reduce ground resistance value. In
addition, ground wire can avoid corrosion wrapped in conducting cement.
2. Supplementing salty water: it creates no pollution, either, but the effect is
short lasting; it requires adding salty water periodically to the soil because
the temperature of ground wire can rise and gradually evaporate the water
in soil so as to increase ground resistance.
