Worldly ac"uired #no!ledge is not sufficient in order to act as a
spiritual teacher.
$nd therefore people cannot e called upon for scrutiny or
clarification of spiritual scriptures or results if they only possess
purely !orldly #no!ledge and then entirely rationally try to
ascertain !hat #ind of %alue should e attached to these spiritual
results. Such intended disse&ination !ill al!ays e unsuccessful'
ecause spiritual #no!ledge can only e gained under certain
preconditions' ut !ithout #no!ledge such scrutiny is not possile.
(o!e%er' if these preconditions are &et on part of the e)a&iners'
then the sa&e preconditions apply again to those !ho are
interested in the results of the scrutiny.
*hese preconditions are+ sincere stri%ing for God' for truth and for
li%ing a !ay of life according to di%ine !ill' for a life of lo%e....
,n that case' ho!e%er' the hu&an eing need no longer in%estigate
ut God (i&self !ill guide hi& into truth.... (e !ill not need earthly
#no!ledge and !ill still eco&e #no!ledgeale' the spiritual sphere
!ill e nor&al and fa&iliar to hi&' he !ill not consider it outlandish
as a critic and researcher- instead' he !ill li%e in this #ingdo&
hi&self !hich !ill no longer elong to the &aterial !orld ut !ill e
purely spiritual.
$nyone !ho !ants to in%estigate the spiritual #ingdo& can only do
so if he co&pletely hands hi&self o%er to God and puts the !orld
second.
But anyone !ho purely scientifically tries to e)a&ine spiritual
su.ects as a &atter of !orldly stri%ing !ill not co&e to any results-
the area !ill re&ain unfa&iliar to hi&' he !ill purely gather e)isting
results ut ne%er pro%ide a truthful e)planation ecause he lac#s all
con%iction hi&self' !hich he can only gain y seriously stri%ing for
truth !ithout any &aterial or !orldly interests.
For this reason the !orld !ill e unale to e&ploy teachers !ho
research occult fields and pass on their #no!ledge' for this !ould
e a purely intellectual acti%ity !ithout in%ol%ing the heart. But
spiritual areas can only e in%estigated y !ay of the heart.
$lthough the intellect is not entirely e)cluded' the &ental
#no!ledge is con%eyed to hi& fro& the heart' and this acti%ity of
heart re"uires great lo%e' !hich not e%ery !orldly researcher has.
,f people therefore elie%e that they can scientifically fatho&
#no!ledge !hich originates fro& God' they !ill al!ays ha%e to ta#e
incorrect results into account'
for the di%ine truth' the #no!ledge aout spiritual things' is not a
co&&odity !hich e%eryone can lay clai& to !ho does not pay the
correct purchase price for it.... God truly !ill not deny it to any
person' yet the stri%ing for God' for highest realisation' for
perfection' &ust dri%e the person to otain this #no!ledge. *hen
people !ill e ale to achie%e greatest success if they pass the
gained #no!ledge on to their fello! hu&an eings !ith the sa&e
aspiration to help the& attain &aturity of soul.
God !ill al!ays and fore%er re&ain the /ro%ider of truth' and God
loo#s into the hearts of people !ho stri%e to!ards it and distriutes
(is gifts of grace according to !orthiness and desire.... (is spirit
descends upon those !ho lo%e (i& and stri%e to li%e according to
(is !ill.
0onse"uently' these conditions &ust ha%e een fulfilled first efore
the hu&an spirit can eco&e enlightened and clearly recognise the
correlation et!een the eternal Deity' 0reation and the li%ing
eings' and thus can deri%e #no!ledge fro& it !hich he can also
ad%ocate as truth and pass on to his fello! hu&an eings.
But such a person !ill not pursue earthly goals- he !ill not try to
ac"uire earthly success' honour and fa&e through his #no!ledge
ut only conduct spiritual research for the sa#e of the pure truth'
and if he !ants to pass it on to his fello! hu&an eing then only as
a result of an inner urge to also gi%e hi& the happiness he does not
yet possess.
(o!e%er' the !orldly interested in%estigator !ill ne%er e%er attain
the right realisation.... (is result !ill al!ays re&ain patch!or#' he
!ill add to already e)isting &ental #no!ledge' he !ill intellectually
try to find a connection and he !ill e &ista#en as long as he does
not ha%e God as a teacher' ut (e !ill not enlighten hi& as long as
he still elongs to the !orld.
For the spiritual #ingdo& is su.ect to la!s !hich are i&possile for
the eings of light to %iolate' ut !hich they do not !ant to %iolate
either since their !ill acts entirely in accordance !ith di%ine !ill.

cannot correspond to truth either' ecause it contradicts the di%ine

first &eet !ithout fail' efore the pure truth can e offered to hi&.
$nd e%en if he co&es across this pure truth in his research' if he
scrutinises the #no!ledge that !as con%eyed to de%out people
through God2s lo%e.... he !ill not recognise it as truth' ecause his
thin#ing is still clouded y the influences of the ene&y of truth' to
!ho& he grants po!er o%er hi&self through his lac# of lo%e.
God is *ruth' and only through lo%e can it e found.

!ill not reach the goal y intellectual &eans and !ill therefore also
e co&pletely incapale of offering truthful results to his fello!

0onclusions can certainly e dra!n fro& e)isting spiritual
infor&ation' so that a spiritual #ingdo&' the acti%ity of spiritual
eings' cannot e denied- ne%ertheless' in order to penetrate the
spiritual real&' the #no!ledge of it is not enough if the
preconditions are not in place !hich allo! the hu&an eing2s soul
to enter the spiritual real&.
*his sphere can therefore ne%er e%er eco&e the su.ect of !orldly
research' and !orldly research is e%erything that is approached
!ithout heartfelt de%otion to God' !ithout unselfish acts of lo%e in
order to gain possession of the truth' in order to e)plain a field so
that it !ill e co&pletely clear to hu&anity and on !hich a solid
teaching can e ased' so that therefore the gained #no!ledge can
e structured in a !ay so that it is accessile to hu&anity and
enriches its #no!ledge. *his !ill ne%er e possile'
for the spiritual kingdom remains closed to those who do not
seek God deep within their heart and testify to this through
their love for Him and their neighbour....
