Woodruff Church of God e-Edition Newsletter

November 4, 2014

Pastors Notes:
If you were not here Sunday,
then you missed a totally
awesome day! The Spirit of
the Lord was so evident in both services. Sunday
morning, we had 3 saved and 1 restored before the preaching ever took place. Then Sunday
evening, there was such a sweet spirit as we prepared ourselves for Communion and Water
Baptism. There were man visitors with us on Sunday night. There were 14 baptized in water.
We need to thank God for His love for us and for His blessings on us!!!
We want to welcome new members, Michael & Judy Lawrence. We are so honored to have
them join with us. Please make sure you make them feel welcome and at home! If you would
like to know more about becoming a member of Woodruff Church of God, plan on meeting with
the Pastor on Sunday morning, November 30 at 9:30.
Every two years there is an election for our Church Administrative Board. This year, there will
be at least 3 men coming off the board and 2 seats that need to be filled because the members
serving were filling a vacated position. The qualifications to be considered for the
Administrative Board are as follows: For a member to serve on the Church and Pastors
Council, they must be:
1. A loyal member of the church, adhering to its teachings
2. Baptized in the Holy Ghost (with the evidence of speaking in other tongues)
3. Faithful in tithing
4. A regular church attendant
5. One who works in harmony with the local, state, and general churchs program and
reflects a cooperative attitude toward the progress of the church.
*should two members of the same household be elected, only the member that received
the highest amount of votes will be eligible to serve on the board.
These qualifications, along with a sign up sheet, will be in the church lobby for the next 2
weeks. This should give ample time for you to prayerfully consider is youd like for your name
to be placed into consideration for the Administrative Board. Voting for the board will take
place on November 30th.
There will be another SpringFest Meeting on Thursday evening November 13th at 7:00 PM.
We will meeting in the Council Room in the office area. If you were at the last meeting, please
have some information about the things you were assigned.

Please dont forget to be filling your missions bags with money. This year the money goes to
our BUILDING FUND! So we want everyone to be involved. There are still bags available our
in the lobby in the little baskets on the desks. We are believing for a great monetary harvest this
year as we work to add to our building fund total.
During the month of
November: To show
appreciation to our
pastors (and their
families), please drop a
card or note in the
basket provided in the lobby. Unless it is directed to all
of the pastors, please put a name on the card / note
and it will be given directly to the appropriate pastor.
You never know what a kind word, quote, scripture or
remembrance of a past event can uplift and encourage
our Senior Pastor as well as the entire Pastoral Staff
here at Woodruff.

Thank you for your love and support after the loss of our beloved
Heather. Thank you for every prayer you uttered, every word of
comfort you shared, every card you wrote, every flower you sent and
every meal you served. They were all so greatly appreciated.
With love, The Culbertson & Wallace Families
