This document provides a summary of the history and origins of Halloween. It begins with the Celtic holiday of Samhain from over 2,500 years ago, which marked the end of the harvest season. The Celts believed spirits could come out on Samhain and people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off spirits. Over time, the Christian church converted the Celtic festivals to All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day. The traditions spread from Britain and Ireland to the United States in the 19th century. Today, children dress in costumes and go door-to-door saying "trick or treat" to receive candy. Common Halloween symbols include ghosts, witches, black cats and pumpkins.

I can say is that Halloween is a
contraction of All Hallows' Eve, 'Eve of All Saints'), also known as Witches Night or day witches, is a celebration of Celtic origin which is celebrated on the night of October 31, particularly in Englishspeaking countries like Canada, USA, Ireland and the UK and to a lesser extent the rest of the world, including Latin America and Spain. Despite being Englishspeaking countries, in Australia and New Zealand is not seen as much as in other countries. the origin of this celebration of AngloSaxon origin. Its origins date back to the Celts over 2,500 years ago when the Celtic year ended at the end of summer, on October 31 of our calendar (Samhain). Cattle were brought from the meadows to the stables for the winter. That last day was supposed that the spirits could come out of the graveyard and take over the bodies of the living to rise again, asking food and cursing. They were victims of spells if they did not accede to their requests: you give me something or get into mischief, which is the translation of "Trick or Treat" To avoid this, the Celtic villages littered houses and "decorated" with bones, skulls and other nasty stuff, so spend long dead scared. Hence the tradition of decorating houses with sinister motives in the current eve of All Saints and also costumes. It is thus a party associated with the coming of the heathen gods to life.
The church of Rome decided to convert to Catholicism festival. It was
instituted on November 1 as All Saints' Day, which in England was called "All Hallows' Day", and the night before "All Hallows' Eve" which subsequently resulted in "Halloween". Halloween Tomb The party was exported to the United States by European immigrants in the nineteenth century to 1846. But not begin to massively held until 1921. That year the first Halloween parade was held in Minnesota and other states soon followed. The internationalization of Halloween was produced in the late 70s and early 80s thanks to movies and television series. Today children dress for the occasion and walk the streets begging for candy from door to door. After knocking on the door the children pronounce the phrase "Trick or Treat". If adults give them candy, money or any other reward, is interpreted to have accepted the deal. If instead they refuse, you guys spend a little joke. Halloween is a holiday based on fear, death, undead, black magic and mystical monsters. The "characters" that are often associated with Halloween include ghosts, witches, black cats, goblins, banshees, zombies and demons, as well as some literary figures like Dracula and Frankenstein's monster. The Celts used to dress up in animal skins on October 31 so as not to be discovered by the spirits, they say, that night regained life. Hence the present custom of dressing that day. The traditional colors of Halloween are black of night and the orange of the first light of day. Halloween symbols include elements like autumnal pumpkins and scarecrows. read the origin of Halloween, I realized that it is a tradition that traveled various continents and countries, now and in mexico adopted, I can not talk over the origin because I made my summary and is somewhat curious to know what all these celebrations arise. but I repeat it in mexico are different festivities called Day of the Dead.
