However, it has disadvantages the following: + 5.6K
(1) Large insertion loss and poor SIN.

(2) It requires a flat amplifier with approximate 20 dB gain.
The tone control circuit used in the KA-801 has all the
advantages of BAX-type and RC-type circuits mentioned
above, and at the same time. the disadvanges are all elimi-

The tone' control circuit is called a uN egative-Feedback

linear IC with non-inverted and inverted input with high input
impedance,

OVERLOAD DETECTOR
The overload signal is applied to Pin 6. A pair of
transistors, 07 and OS, forms a flip-flop, and the collector of
o
the 07 is connected to the base of inverter 06 through R3.
Normally, the base of 07 is supplied with a higher voltage
than that supplied to the base of OS (the base voltage of 07
is supplied from the anode of OS, whereas the base voltage
of OS is supplied from the cathode of OS), so 07 is ON, and
Fig. 10-3 Overall frequency response with boosted OS is OFF. Thus, 06 is OFF.
BASS control
When the positive overload signal is applied to Pin 6, OS
turns ON and the collector voltage drops. The base voltage
of 07 also drops because of its connection to the collection
of OS through R5, so 07 is turned OFF The collector

NOR GATE AND POWER-ON POWER RELAY DRIVER AND VOLTAGE STABILIZER
CIRCUIT The DC power voltage supplied to the whose circuit

Transistors 03, 06 and 010 are provided with common
connected collecters and emitters. The collector voltage in
and further made accurate by D 1 and D2 to become 1.3V. +
The output of 013 in Figure 14 is connected through R13
the normal state is about O.6V. (Here, we call this voltage
to emitter follower 015, which drives 016
level "H")
Pin 1 is the output terminal of the relay driver.
If a voltage higher than O.6V is applied to the base of 03,
03 turns ON, and the collector voltage falls to about O.1V.
(We call this voltage level "L")
The same result is obtained when level "H" is input to the 017
base of 06 or 0 10 instead of 03, and the output becomes

"L".
This kind of circuit with multiple input terminals and a DI

are "L", and the output being "L" when at least one input is RI3

expressed with a logical symbol, and the relation between Zl D9
multiple inputs and single output is presented in the "truth

011,012 and 013.
For the power-ON muting circuit. resistors Rs and Rx and
capacitor Cs are connected to Pin 8. Among the six
transistors only 013 is delayed in turning ON, since
