GUIDELINES
General Policies for the Individual Pictorials
1 The student should be at the photo shoot venue at least
fifteen (15) minutes prior to his/her scheduled time slot.
aside from this, students who intend to avail of Tino
Leys hair and makeup services must arrive at the venue
at least 30 minutes prior to his/her schedules time slot.
2 The student should bring his/her Ateneo ID and two (2)
printed copies each of his/her enlistment confirmation/
contract and present this to the AEGIS 2015
representative in the registration area. The policy of no
ID and/or enlistment confirmation/contract, no pictorial
will be strictly enforced.
3 Chaperones are NOT allowed. A student may only opt to
bring one (1) personal make-up artist, who will remain
outside the photo shoot area.
4 Students are asked to avoid bringing any unnecessary
items to the photo shoot venue. There will be no
baggage counter of any sort during the photo shoot.
Only clothes, shoes, and accessories may be left in the
fitting rooms. Students must therefore risk leaving their
other belongings in the waiting area.

The AEGIS 2015 Editorial Board will not be liable for

the loss or breakage of any item left in the waiting area.

5 The chosen photos can no longer be changed once the

student has left the editing area. If the student finds the
need to change his/her chosen photos (both or either
the toga and/or the casual), he/she must schedule for a
retake and must pay a fee of P800.

GUIDELINES
6 Students may give instructions regarding any desired
touch-ups for their chosen photos. All photographs,
along with the requested configurations, will be
processed through an off-site professional editing
process to ensure quality. Any request for soft copies
immediately after the shoot may be accommodated
through a quick on-the-spot editing process. There will
be a preset tool which will be used for editing on the
spot. Nevertheless, the final printed photographs will still
undergo off-site editing.
7 For those who will request for rescheduling for
whatever reason (e.g. failure to show up during the time
allotted for pictorial due to a conflict with schedule), an
additional fine of P500 will be charged. An additional
fine of P800 will be charge for those who will schedule
for retakes (if the student has already undergone the
photoshoot through his original schedule).
8 IMPORTANT: Only those who are scheduled or
expected to graduate in March 2015 or October 2014
will be eligible for the pictorials. but we also need to
include/encourage non-graduating seniors to avail of
their casual pictorial

GUIDELINES
For the Casual Shots
1 The students are encouraged to wear casual attires
that capture their personalities and would serve as a
reminder of what they were like in college. No cosplay
attires, extravagant costumes, gowns, and other similar
attires. Keep it simple. The main focus of each photo is
the students face, not his/her attire.
2 All attires for the casual shots must comply with the
Loyola Schools Dress Code. Students who do not
comply will NOT be allowed to have their pictorials on
their scheduled date and will be asked to reschedule
and pay the corresponding fine. *
3 No wearing of white T-shirts/blouses/polo shirts/pants/
skirts, unless the student wishes to run the risk of
blending in with the background.
4 No changing of outfits mid-shoot.
5 The following are prohibited:

Angles and poses that do not completely reveal

the face (at least half of the face should be seen

in each of the photos)

Portrayal of fictitious characters

Suggestive poses

Violent poses

Shots wherein the student is lying on the floor

Shots wherein the prop extends to outside the

set perimeters

GUIDELINES
6 Only one (1) prop per student will be allowed for the
shoots.
a The prop should be one that can be contained
within the students own personal space (i.e. no
giant props), and the poses associated with such
props should be confined within the students own
personal space as well (e.g. no waving of scarves,
no throwing of props to the side). The purpose of
the pictorials is to focus on the character of the
person and not on the props that he/she brings.
b Props include chairs/blocks provided by the photo
agency or by the students themselves (i.e. if the
student uses the said accessories, he/she can no
longer use any other prop).
c Food can be used as props, provided that it is
classified under dry foods (e.g. chips, candies,
dumplings). The student will be responsible for
cleaning up any mess that may result from the use
of such props.
d The following items are prohibited from being
used as props:
Pets
Confetti
Other people
Cutouts/posters/signboards
Liquids placed in containers without lids
Matches/lighters
Cigarettes
Alcoholic beverages

The AEGIS 2015 Editorial Board reserves the right to

prohibit the use of any prop that its members deem to be
inappropriate.

GUIDELINES
For the Toga Shots
1 Males must wear a solid, light-colored dress shirt and a
solid dark-colored tie.
2 Females must wear a tube top or a blouse with a low
neckline, preferably V-neck.
3 Students will be allowed to have wacky shots in the toga
shoot, provided that it will not be used as the official
toga shot for the yearbook.

For the Corporate Shots

1 For students who wish to avail of the 2x2 corporate shot,
the photos will be taken immediately after the toga shot.
2 Males will simply remove the toga and will be shot
in their dress shirt and tie. They may opt to bring
one blazer which they may wear specifically for the
corporate shot.
3 Females must bring one dress shirt and may also opt to
bring one blazer which they will quickly change into after
the toga shots have been taken.

GUIDELINES
General Policies for Group Pictorials
1 A maximum of only thirty (30) students will be
accommodated as part of a group shot.
2 The LS dress code and other LS policies found in the LS
Handbook will be enforced.
3 There are no restrictions to creativity for group shots,
except for practical and ethical policies against nudity,
violence, alcohol, live pets, etc.
4 Only minimal props will be allowed.
5 The group representative (the one who signed up for the
pictorial) must be at the pictorial venue at least fifteen
(15) minutes prior to the groups scheduled pictorial.
6 ALL group photo packages are exclusive of hair and
makeup services.
7 All members of the group who will be part of the
group photo should be complete and all necessary
preparations must be done before entering the pictorial
venue. The group members will be asked to wait quietly
outside the venue until they are called for their pictorial.
8 The official representative of each group must confirm
attendance with the AEGIS representative on duty
before the groups pictorial time slot. Groups who fail to
arrive during their scheduled time slots may reschedule
with a fine of P500.
9 Once the groups pictorial has started, it cannot wait
for other group members who have not arrived. Please
observe courtesy and respect to other groups.

GUIDELINES
10 Each group will be given a maximum of ten (10) minutes
for pictorial.
11 During proofing/editing of photo, only the official
representative of each group will transact business with
the photo partner. The rest of the group will be asked to
leave the pictorial venue and wait outside.

For Varsity Teams, Special Groups,

and Accredited Organizations:
1 All varsity teams, special student groups, and accredited
student organizations are encouraged to have a group
shot to be featured in the yearbook.
2 Special student groups, accredited student
organizations, and varsity teams are given the privilege
to have their group pictorials (with one (1) 8x10 printout)
for free.
3 Varsity teams should wear their official Ateneo uniform
while student groups, accredited organizations should
wear their official org shirt or any attire that would
distinguish the team/organization and present uniformity
among members.

Unaccredited Organizations/Barkadas:
1 For barkada shots, only graduating students are allowed
to partake in the shoot.

LOYOLA
SCHOOLS
DRESSCODE

Although no uniform is prescribed in the Loyola Schools, it

is the responsibility of the student to dress in a manner that
is modest and appropriate to the academic nature of the
university. (The Code of Discipline Sec. I.A)
While the way we dress is a form of self-expression, it also
reflects our values and attitudes.
1 Dressing simply puts focus on the substance, rather than the form,
of the person. In a Filipino, Catholic, and Jesuit University, simple
dress acknowledges the social responsibility of every member of
the community to address the problem of the socio-economic gap
between the privileged and underprivileged. It means avoiding
extravagance or the ostentatious use of luxury items.

2 Dressing appropriately means clothes that reflect the purpose of

the activity. While clothes or the manner of dressing do not directly
reflect ones mental processes, they do manifest ones attitudes.
Thus, clothes or footwear for places like the beach, bedroom, or
gym (e.g., slippers, lounging/gym/athletic shorts and tops, cycling
shorts, short shorts, sleeveless shirts for men), when worn during
academic activities, do not reflect the respect of the institutional
culture and persons of the university.

3 Dressing decently is a sign of respect for the human body. In the

culture of a Catholic university, revealing and sloppy clothes do not
reflect this respect. These include, among others, low-cut-backless/
strapless blouses, very low-rise jeans, bare midriff, short shorts,
soiled clothes and lounging shirts/tops.

Note: Males are not allowed to wear sleeveless tops.

Females who choose to wear sleeveless tops must ensure
that the width of the straps is equal to the width of three
fingers placed side by side. All bottoms must reach the tip of
ones middle finger when arms are fully stretched on ones
sides.
