PERI ACS System will be used for the construction of the Core Wall of Kohinoor Square
Project. ACS means Automatic Climbing System in which the shutter panels are mounted
over ACS brackets and moved hydraulically independent of the crane. For the wall formwork
PERI VARIO GT24 wall formwork will be used. The shutter height is 4.0m. These shutter
panels are designed for a concrete pressure of 50 kN/sqm.
Please find the below Core layout from Basement Level-3 to Basement Level-2 (Refer PERI
drg. 01-0313740-B001, Sheet-1, Rev-b). The typical basement floor to floor height is
3100mm. These 2 basements will be completed in 2 pours of 3950mm (1 st pour) and 2250mm
(2nd pour). The 2 walls along the door openings have a thickness of 1800mm, which will get
reduced to 900mm from Basement Level-1 onwards.
The box-outs for the door openings are made by conventional system using plywood, HBeams & props. The shutter panels are of various types such as E panel (external), I panel
(internal), EC panel (external corner) and IC panel (internal corner). A total of 74 panels are
required for the 1st pour and extra 4 panels for the 2nd pour.
PERI
Below is the list of shutter panels showing their quantity, unit weight and the corresponding
steel waler to be used:
The walers shown with Red colour are the small panels and these can be easily handled with
small mobile crane. These small panels maximum weighs upto 1158 kgs. The walers shown
in Green colour are the big panels and these require tower crane / suitable crane for handling
purpose during assembly sequence. These big panels maximum weighs upto 2243 kgs.
PERI
All the shutter panels are to be assembled very close to the core so that during erection the
handling distance is reduced. A Tower Crane is to be used for the shutter erection procedure.
A usage of fully dedicated crane would result in faster erection. The pour height is 3950mm.
Below is the layout of the VARIO GT24 shutter panels for the 1 st pour (Refer PERI drg no.
01-0313740-B006, Sheet-1, Rev-0). Also refer drg no. 01-0313740-B007, Sheet-1, Rev-0, for
typical section at 1st pour.

Please find the below Shutter Panel erection sequence. The erection should be done room
wise. So the internal panels & internal corners are to be erected first. The external panels and
external corners are to be erected with respect to the rooms getting completed.

Climbing cones will be installed on the shutter panels before casting of 1 st pour. These cones
will be used later on for anchoring ACS brackets.
After the 1st pour, giving required curing time, the DW15 tie rods are to taken out and
deshuttering has to be done. ACS-R & ACS-P main platforms will be assembled. Shutter
panels to be mounted over platforms. Since the ACS-R & ACS-P platforms are to be
assembled around & inside the core respectively so all the shutter panels are to be moved out
of the core and stacked vertically one after another on the raft. The best way is to stack the
panels vertically by resting them on the sides of the columns on raft. While stacking care is to
be taken so that the plywood does not get damaged and panels are be placed so that the
plywood faces each other. The finishing platforms are to be assembled and kept on the raft
top. These will get attached to the main platforms once the system climbs up.
Below is a typical section showing the formwork and ACS arrangement during 2 nd pour
(Refer PERI drg no. 01-0313740-B007, Sheet-1,scale
Rev-0).

The pour height is 2250mm. With this pour the Basement Level-2 gets completed. The top of
this pour is the end of the wall, of thickness 1800mm. After the pour of 2250mm is over, a
timber starter is to be made over this pour on the external side of 1800mm thick wall. An
additional pour of 300mm is to be done.
Please refer the below drg (Refer PERI drg no. 01-0313740-B007, Sheet-1, Rev-0). This
additional pour is must since the next pour of 3900mm along with this additional 300mm will
accommodated the ACS Brackets.

Reinforcement for the entire core is completed. At the location of 1.8m thick wall the external
shutter panels are lifted by crane and positioned on the wall for the next pour. At these
locations the shutter panels are aligned by push pull props from the platform. The shutter
panels on the core sides (900mm thick) remain mounted over the ACS-R platform through
the formwork carriage. The inside shutter panels are rolled back by trolley of ACS-P system.
Tie rods are fixed and shutter aligned. Finishing platforms of ACS-P (Level -1) is fixed to the
system. Please refer the sketch below.
