Every coin has its two sides, one side is good, another side is not good, we can not be
arbitrary judge the development of a new type of things is good or not, so for the
trend of globalization is a good or bad, I still think it has both good and bad two sides,
as follows, is my personal point of view to judge the advantage side and disadvantage
side of globalization.
Good:
Its easier to help each other
Globalization is good for the world, because people from all around the world work
together. That makes it easier to communicate between different places on the earth,
for example through the social networks like Facebook and twitter. Because you can
access it in most parts of the world, information can be exchanged easier and faster
than through any other tool. People from one place in the world can get information
about places they never visited before, or they can get information about something
that just happened in places around the world. That makes it a lot easier to help others
in situations like the missing plane in Malaysia where many different countries try to
help finding the plane. That wouldnt be possible without globalization, because the
other countries wouldnt know about it or they just dont care about all the other
countries. Its also easier to invent new technologies. If somebody discovers a new
technology, other experts around the world get informed about that and they can help
him work on his project. The different countries dont work against each other
anymore; they help each other to find a way to solve a problem. Because we share
new technology, its easier to use that technology and develop new products.
upset about high prices. Outsourcing not only leads to these treasured lower prices,
but also leads to the creation of new and better products, as well as the creation of a
foreign middle class. This may not seem important to the upset U.S. Citizen, but is
important to the economy. By creating foreign jobs and income, this new class now
has the opportunity to purchase U.S. Goods and services. Globalization is
reciprocal--creating jobs abroad helps create jobs here. Over paying for an employee
that has low skill only hurts the consumer. Product prices rise, resulting in less value
for the consumer. There is a solution to the loss of U.S. Jobs--education and training.
By taking a low skilled worker and educating or retraining them, the worker will be
qualified for a higher paying job.
Globalization is good
Globalization is good because world can connect on an economical level and find
stability even with different cultures. Promotes products around the world and brands
allowing LEDC's to invest in products affordable for them. The competitive nature of
globalization forces companies to create a high level of quality and standards in their
products satisfying the buyer more as well.
Bad:
It breaks the work
Globalization seems to be looked on as an unmitigated good by economists.
Unfortunately, economists seem to be guided by their badly flawed models; they miss
real-world problems. In particular, they miss the point that the world is finite. We
dont have infinite resources, or unlimited ability to handle excess pollution. So we
are setting up a solution that is at best temporary. Economists also tend to look
at results too narrowlyfrom the point of view of a business that can expand, or a
worker who has plenty of money, even though these users are not typical. In real life,
businesses are facing increased competition, and the worker may be laid off because
of greater competition. The following is a list of reasons why globalization is not
living up to what was promised, and is, in fact, a very major problem. 1.
Globalization uses up finite resources more quickly. As an example, China joined the
world trade organization in December 2001. In 2002, its coal use began rising rapidly.
human nature is greedy and corrupt and globalization will increase this a thousand
fold.
