On behalf of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), I have the pleasure to convey
my warmest welcome and congratulations to all of the officials and personnel of the China
Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME)
and Zheijiang Department of Commerce, the participating companies, and both local and
international visitors, to the 10th International Exhibition of China Machinery and Electronic
Products to be hosted by the Republic of the Philippines at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay
City on 14-16 August 2014.
President Benigno S. Aquino III has placed great importance and emphasis on tripartism and
social partnership between the key sectors involved in the Philippiness employment and
economic competitiveness and growth, namely labor, employers, and government. His
emphasis is broad and inclusive, which leaves out no one, designed as it is to build a culture of
voluntary labor standards compliance in all industries and workplaces. It sustains cooperation
between labor and employers, enhances the employability of workers and the competitiveness
of enterprises, strengthens social protection, and propels decent work that engenders
productive innovativeness and better economic competitiveness.
Set in the splendor of our isles, I am indeed, heartened that the esteemed organizers of this
event, who by themselves find key importance in Chinas economy, have selected the growing
Philippines under President Aquino IIIs Administration, as the focal point of the China
Machinery and Electronic Products Exhibition in 2014.
Under the tutelage and inspiration of your Filipino mentors and advisors who include the best
and most successful business tycoons and employers in the Philippiness economy, your
endeavor mirrors your oneness with us, especially in our active effort to promote decent jobs
and foster a culture of voluntary labor standards compliance, denoting the sustained productivity
and global competitiveness of the Philippines. Thus, I believe your event shall be even more
splendid and auspicious, anchored as it must be, upon these goals shared in common by our
tripartite partnership.

Indeed, I thank you for choosing the Philippines, sustaining annually the International Exhibition
of China Machinery and Electronic Products, bespeaking your faith and confidence as well as
your commitment in the vibrancy of our economic potentials and growth.
To the 2014 International Exhibition of China Machinery and Electronic Products now once
again in productive motion by virtue of the events management savvy of the Philippines-based
Global Link MP--- my warmest welcome and best wishes for continual success!
