As an Associate Engineer in our Apprentice training program, you will have the privilege to participate in the
prestigious Atrion Academys Technology Apprentice Program, where you will be challenged over and over again
to improve your technical and consulting skills. The problems you solve will place you at the forefront of
technology to work with Atrions marquis clients while continuously training to improve your skills.
This role is not for everyone, we are looking for highly motivated and technically minded individuals with a
passion for customer service. At the end of your first year of training with us, you will be a member of an elite
team of engineers expected to have achieved certifications in CCNA, CCNA Voice, MCSA to round out your
technical skillset. This no 9-5 job, we are looking for individuals with a passion to learn and be the best. Atrion

Overview Responsibilities
As an Associate Engineer you will be expected to ramp up quickly on some of the latest technologies the IT
Industry has to offer:

Successfully participate and engage in extensive Atrion Academy Apprentice Program.

Successfully obtain advanced certifications CCNA, CCNA-Voice, MCITP/MCSA, VCP within first year.
Cisco Routers/Voice Gateways/ Cisco LAN Switching/ VLans
o Understanding of Routing protocols EGIRP, BGP, OSPF,
o Cisco IP Phones
o Cisco ASA Firewalls/ Other related Security Appliances
o Familiarity with Cisco CLI and OSI
o Competency with IP Sub-netting
Familiarity with Windows Server Configuration
Knowledge of Active Directory Design

Technical Apprentice Program

Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Implementation

Working knowledge of VMware or other Virtualization technologies
Understanding of Storage Area Network technology

We are looking for our next Rock Star! Someone who will demonstrate excellence in most or all of the
following competencies:

Technical Skills

Ability to self-study and achieve high academic results

Experience with technical writing and documentation.
Completion of technical training programs related to MCSA or CCNA or BA or Associates in Network
Engineering or related IT Program.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Technologies; Active Directory, Exchange, Server 2008, Lync, etc..
Working knowledge of Cisco switching and routing and voice, technologies.
Working knowledge of Virtualization and Data Center technologies including storage.
Proven success in achievement in academic or self-study environment.
High technical acumen and passion for technology.

Business Skills

The confidence to seek out help from co-workers or leadership.

Ability to work in a team environment.
Positive work ethic and the desire to work as a team to develop and deliver the best engineering
practices in the industry.
Ability to provide outstanding customer service.

Educational Background
Atrion is constantly looking for students of continuous learning who are consistently striving to expand both
professionally and personally. As technology experts we expect qualified applicants to have a relevant higher
education degree and or equivalent certification and experience, but most importantly the ability to
demonstrate a history of personal and professional growth.
Minimum Requirement: BA, BS or Associates in Computer Science Field and/or equivalent years of experience
