Christmas time is approaching, which means Christmas songs are playing, family
dinners are being planned and much needed vacation time is coming up. As we continue
to read about our fellow MAF families around the world we realize how different life will be once we
are in Africa. With need as great as it is in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the men and
women of MAF are working harder than ever to help meet those needs.

This Christmas, MAF pilots will continue to conduct emergency medical evacuations, transport
medicines, deliver evangelistic materials, as well as enable training events, learning institutions, and
crisis relief. MAF also fills a strategic role in touching countless lives for Jesus Christ by standing
with, and supporting, Congolese churches, missionaries, and an increasing number of shortterm
mission teams.

Partnering with other mission groups and humanitarian agencies, MAF is working with the countless
Congolese families that have been forcibly displaced by conflict, generalized violence and human
rights violations. With the use of the airplane, MAF pilots are helping with the rebuilding efforts
and alleviate the suffering of those displaced or affected in the east DRC.

Sometimes it can be easy to forget how blessed we are here in Canada and how difficult and
unstable life is for so many people around the world. We are proud to be joining our fellow MAF
families this summer in the DRC as we strive to make a difference in Africa.

been one year since our baby girl
joined us!

More visitors!
We were happy to have Joels brother Josh and his lovely
girlfriend Jessica come and visit us here in Quebec. (Can
you see the family resemblance?)
