The Beghelli 626 AUTOTEST (AT) luminaire range is equipped with a
patented self-diagnostic system, running periodic functionality and full
duration tests. The system therefore guarantees the operational control,
normally carried out by a qualified maintenaince staff.

System description
The full duration test is run every six months and its used
to check all the luminaire functions over a period equal to 1
hour period.
The self-contained 626 AUTOTEST (AT) luminaire range is

provided with a 8-bit microprocessor advanced
microelectronic technology, capable of integrating a large
number of functions.
Tests results are displayed by the multicolour LED, located

in the front of the luminaire.
The AT range thereby provide a total control of test
operations and a dramatic time and cost saving of
maintenance staff.
The luminaires switch on automatically in case of a

power failure and also run periodic self-checking tests.
To run these tests the AT system simulates a power
failure and checks the correct operation of the
luminaires. The functionality test is run every week and
its used to check all the luminaire functions over a 1
minute period.

Beghellis Digital Mains Signalling Central Test Emergency Lighting System

(CTOC) consists of a control unit and a number of emergency luminaires,
communicating by means of digital transmission through the mains power
line, therefore without the need to modify the electrical installation.
Both in the event of a new installations and refurbishments, the required
set up time and costs are dramatically reduced.
Control Unit (CU)

A liquid crystal display (80 characters on 2 lines), a 24-column printer and
a keyboard interface the operator with the CU. The display shows various
selection menus to make the operators control easier, as well as the key
to be pressed to start the various functions. A CU can control up to 512
units.
A keyswitch located at the back of the keyboard can be used to prevent
access by unauthorised persons.
The CTOC can be integrated into a centralised system with a wider range
of functions, or into a remote control system via a telephone line. A two
serial-line connector (RS232) are located at the back of the CU. A
sealed, rechargeable battery provides for 3 hours full duration in the event
of a power failure
Self programming
When first luminaires are connected into the system, the CU is able to
check the installed luminaires and report the number of luminaires as well
as the list of their corresponding identification codes.

Using the CM, all units in a CTOC system can be controlled from a PC.
Beghelli supplies the appropriate software together with the CM.

These functions can be performed separately for the total
installation or for a zone. Results are shown on the display
and a hard copy can be printed on demand.

any possible failure. Test results are shown on the display,
as well as its possible to print out test date and time, type

the time lag between two automatic tests as well as the
test timing.

The Beghelli Central Test Emergency Lighting System (CT) is a centralised

emergency lighting system with centrally controlled self testing emergency
luminaires.
CT performs the following functions :
operational and full duration testing of the luminaires
enabling or disabling the emergency function
system control
CT can control up to 1024 units, including the Maintained (SA) and Non
Maintained (SE). An interface booster is required every 64 units, to
amplify the data signals

The Beghelli Central System (CTS) consists of a centralised battery

emergency lighting system with automatic test diagnostics.
The CTS performs the following functions :
operating and full duration testing on the central battery
operational testing of the luminaires
centralised system control
The CTS can control up to 1024 luminaires and up to 10 central batteries
with AC output (SCASE/SA Soccor Group). Depending on the type of
connection, all Beghelli equipment designed for the CTS can perform the
Non Maintained (SE) or Maintained (SA) function on the same wiring.
The CTS can also be programmed to operate in the emergency mode for
1 or 3 hours. CTS can also manage mains lighting units in emergency
mode. An interface booster must be installed every 64 units, to amplify
the data signals.
Additionally by a mains-present sensor , the interface booster allows
restricted-zone activation of the emergency system, therefore an interface
is recommended for any main floor board. The system performs also a
control/protection function of the safety circuits linking the units to the
central groups.

CTS conversion kit is a device designed to integrate a

standard mains lighting fixture with the Beghelli CTS.
Additionally the CTS Conversion kit performs checks of the
lighting fixture efficiency by a photodiode.
Depending on the type of CTS kit electrical connection, the
fixture can be used either as a SE (Non Maintained) or SA
(Maintained) fitting. With a specific program its also possible
to set the lighting fixtures full duration as 1h or 3h.

BEGHELLI SCA SE/SA Soccorgroup series provides a nonmaintained / maintained 230V, (110V available), sinusoidal
AC output. SoccorGroups have two output terminals, one of
which is connected by means of a by-pass to the mains
input supply thus providing a maintained supply and the
other is connected to the inverter output thereby providing a
non-maintained supply.

AC output Soccorgroup In the event of a power failure, the

loads connected to the Maintained and non-maintained
outputs are connected to the inverter via a high speed
changeover device.
The PWM (Pulse With Modulation) inverter operating at high
frequency, converts the DC battery voltage into a stabilised,
low-distortion sinusoidal AC voltage.
The inverter is protected against overload and short circuit by
means of an electronic current limiter that is capable of
ensuring safe operation under all conditions.

The BEGHELLI SCCSE SoccorGroup is a non-maintained
direct current (DC) power supply that can be used whenever
there is a need to supply any dc load in the event of a Mains
failure.
It is particularly suited to emergency or safety systems which

The BEGHELLI ALS SoccorGroup is a AC/DC output system.
It has been expressly designed for supplying shadowless
lamps and can ensure continuous illuminiation in the event of
mains failure.
When mains voltage is present and within tolerance, the
lamps are supplied with 24V AC from the isolating
transformer. (Conforming with CEI 96-2).

This special distribution panel divide the load in two lines with the
possibility to verify the line efficiency checking possible faults.
In case of overload or short circuit the event is indicated by a

QUICK-MOUNT FIXTURE
Banco Beghelli proposes a new installation
philosophy. By pressing the four snap fasteners
you can separate the product into two parts: a
completely empty rear housing and the rest of the
fixture in an en bloc assembly. Just mount the box
in the desired position, connect the quick-connect
terminal block to the circuit on the back of the
reflector and fit the parts together.
Installation can be achieved without removing the
glass or lamp from the fixture, which means major
time savings and no surprises.
QUICK MAINTENANCE SYSTEM

On the rear there is an openable section allowing
the fixture to be removed from the mount without
disconnecting the terminal block.
The fastening holes have a slot-like shape so the
fixture can be removed without taking out the
screw anchors.

substitutes automatically and immediately for mains power
supply in the event of mains power failure.
The Halogen Kit is ideal for halogen lights, electrovalves,
relays, buzzers, intercoms, electronic power generating plant
and other 12V DC devices. It can be used for nonmaintained (emergency only) or maintained (lighting +
emergency) lighting with the appropriate connection diagram.
