Woodruff Church of God e-Edition Newsletter

December 2, 2014

Pastors Notes:
This week marks the beginning
of a busy season in the life of our
church. There are many
opportunities for ministry and fellowship.
Thursday evening, our Church Administrative board, their spouses and the staff and their spouses
will be meeting for a time of appreciation for their work during the year. It is always an enjoyable
time for my wife and I to serve this great group of people. We are truly blessed to serve among them
and to be able to serve them on that night. Then Saturday evening, we will have our 2nd annual
Miracle on Poole St.. This event is led by our Music Ministry, but is joined, supported and staffed
by all the other ministries and volunteers. It is intentional in that it is specifically for the
UNCHURCHED. There will be a meal prepared for them, gifts for everyone in attendance, music by
the choir, a challenge from the Christmas Story.all for the sole purpose of showing them the love
of Christ in hopes that they will commit their lives to Jesus Christ. Please pray that this will happen!
Then on Sunday night, our music ministry will be presenting a special musical presentation. Please
make sure YOU are here and make an intentional effort to invite someone to come with you. I have
used a word several times in what I have said.INTENTIONAL! I believe that we are intentional
this Christmas season, we can see new people brought into the church and we can see souls saved for
the glory of God. But it starts with you and with me. We each are responsible to invite people to
come join us.
I want to publically say thank you to the group of young people that led in worship Sunday night.
What an awesome move of God we experienced! It was good musically, but the anointing made the
difference. I was so blessed and thankful to see young people worshipping as they sang and being
moved on by the Holy Ghost. They not only allowed the Lord to use them as they sang, but some of
them allowed the Holy Ghost to use them in praying for people and ministering in other ways. I AM
SO THANKFUL!!!!!!! If you were not here, you missed a wonderful move of God. Let me share
with you what the Holy Ghost said to us:
For you are mine and I love you with an everlasting love that nobody or nothing could ever blot out.
I love you enough that I gave My life for you. I love you. Why can you not understand how much I
love you? I will give to you as you give to me. Give out of the abundance of the heart. Give your
very best praise, your very best worship. All you are and all you will ever be is with me, saith the
Lord.
In these last days you must keep your eyes on me. Look to me when storms come, when problems
come, when difficulties come. Keep your eyes on me. I do love you and I will never fail you. I am
with you and for you. I want you to love me with all your heart. I have asked you to give me your
best worship. Worship me with all of your heart and I will take care of you in the days ahead. You

need my love. You need my care. I know how to care for you. Worship me. Worship me. Worship
Me. Love me with all your heart.
Heres what I heard the Holy Ghost say:
I love you
I care for you
You need my love and you need my care
Worship me with your very best praise, with all your heart
Now I know you can love Him and worship Him anywhere.and we should do soeverywhere.
But there is one place that I believe we must do this.IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD! I strongly
encourage you to be in this House of the Lord every time we have service. I believe that every
opportunity we have is an opportunity for us to do what the Holy Ghost said. I believe every worship
opportunity is a time for us to be challenged by the Word. I believe it is an opportunity for
fellowship with our fellow believers and times of ministry together. THIS PLACE OF WORSHIP IS
IMPORTANT!!!! Sunday morning, I began a series entitled Hims & Hers. I compared Elizabeth
& Mary. I told you that:
They both were from the right family lines
Elizabeth was righteous in Gods eyes and Mary was favored in Gods eyes
Elizabeth & Mary both had obstacles to birthing what God said: Elizabeth obstacle was
barrenness and Marys was that she had never known a man.
Elizabeth was shown mercy and Mary was shown love.
Our lesson learned from this story was:
1. Being from the right family line is good, but having Gods favor (grace) is an absolute
necessity.
2. You may have barrenness or a barrier, but God knows what to do in order to birth what He
wants birthed in your life.
3. We know this is possible because:
* God is merciful
* God loves us
I pray that you will allow the Lord to speak to you through the Word and then you will use the Word
as a means of sharing with people through the week. I have already shared the words of the message
as well as the Holy Ghost messages this week as I ministered in the hospitals. Lets be the light in a
dark world this week!

Hey guys,
Hope yall had a great Thanksgiving and are getting ready for Christmas. And speaking of
Christmas.....HEAR YE HEAR YE, Go tell it on the mountain.......
It would be to our advantage to pay attention to certain closely related people in our immediate
family during the next few weeks. Brothers, there will be little clues and small hints thrown our
way about what others want us to buy them for Christmas and if we are not real careful, and I
do mean REAL CAREFUL we might miss it. Things go so much better when you listen and pay
attention, LOL.
Now, don't forget about our monthly meeting this coming Thursday at 6:30 in the mancave. Our
speaker for this meeting will be our very own Jason Tucker and I can assure you that you will not
want to miss this meeting. Wayne and Paul will be serving wings and things so please make sure
that you and there.

you for your understanding.
If you plan to attend, please go by as soon as possible and put your name on the sign-up sheet.
