Pastors Notes:
HALLELUJAH!!!! What a
weekend! First, dress rehearsal
on Friday night for the Christmas
Musical. Saturday was Miracle on Poole St. and
what a time we had. There was around 450 in the CLC Saturday night, most of whom were
unchurched and unsaved. That was the goal. An intentional, purposeful attempt to engage the lost
with the good news of Christ and show them the love of Christ. Was it a lot of work? YOU
BETTER BELIEVE IT! Was it worth it? You better believe it!!!!! There were 15 people who
committed their lives to Jesus Christ during the night. Thats the cards we had. We may never know
the full effect until we get to heaven. A special thank you goes to Todd & Vickie Porter, the Spirit of
Praise Music Ministry, all the other ministries of the church that pitched in and helped, all the other
volunteers who came to serve, Greg & Tracy Kennedy and his help in preparing the delicious
food..AND EVERYONE that I might have missed (please know its not intentional.we had at
least 100 workers that night!) Then on Sunday night, the Music & Media Departments presented
This is Christmas. What an amazing time we had!!!!! The music was done with excellence, the
choir was dressed beautifully.mix all that with the beautiful decorations of the sanctuary and it was
just an absolutely wonderful worship experience. And to make it totally awesome, 2 souls were
saved (found out Monday that a 9 year old child prayed to receive Christ but was afraid to raise her
hand.she went home and told her folks who will talk to their pastor about the experience and the
child will be baptized in water! GLORY TO GOD!!!) and 4 were recommitted to the Lord. That
means over the weekend 17 were saved and 4 were restored. THAT IS A GREAT WEEKEND!!!!!
None of these things are possible without the involvement of the members and friends of the church.
Good leadership is important, but without the body being involved, it is impossible to carry out
anything of this magnitude. I want to thank each and every one that was involved in any way.
Everything that you did enabled souls to come to the Jesus Christ. To God be the Glory!!!!!!!

New Tithe Envelopes for next year are available in the Church Lobby. Please pick up a box or
boxes at the next church service. It does not matter what number you get. Our new system goes by
your name, not number. Thank you for your obedience in honoring the Lord with your tithe and
thank you for your faithful and consistent giving. It is because of that giving that we are able to be
hand of God extended, reaching out to the oppressed! May the Lord bless and prosper you and you
honor Him!
Sunday night, December 21st, we will be having a church wide fellowship in the CLC at 6:00
PM. We look forward every year to this as we have an opportunity to slow down just a little and
enjoy the fellowship of our brothers and sisters. We are honored to have come to share some music
with us Mr. Scott Cooper. We are asking you to bring several things (some we need now):
1. Candy (we have a wonderful display used at Miracle on Poole St. called Candyland.
Our kids didnt get to get candy because we wanted to make sure that we had enough candy
for our guests. Wed love to bless our kids with some candy. So would you start bringing
some bags of candy and giving to Ms. Donna or drop it by the ladies ministries office.
THANK YOU!)
2. Sandwiches, chips, SWEETS (Im smiling1!) and drinks. Wouldnt seem like fellowship
without food!
3. Canned goods. We always bring bags of canned good to help restock our food pantry. We
are called upon many, many times through the year to help people who have run out of food.
What a blessing to be able to assist in this way. So please help us out with UNOPENED,
unbent, in date products.

A mere thank you is inadequate to express appreciation to the 100 plus workers who made
"Miracle on Poole Street" such a wonderful event. You were truly the hands and feet of Jesus.
We are grateful for God's provision, for generous donations, but most importantly for lives
changed for eternity. To all who donated, THANK YOU. May you be richly blessed of the Lord.
To the choir, cast and crew of "This is Christmas", you are entirely awesome! Thank you for

To our choir family, thank you for the wonderful card and gift. You are forever in our hearts.

Hey guys,
Hope yall had a great Thanksgiving and are getting ready for Christmas. And speaking of
Christmas.....HEAR YE HEAR YE, Go tell it on the mountain.......
It would be to our advantage to pay attention to certain closely related people in our immediate
family during the next few weeks. Brothers, there will be little clues and small hints thrown our
way about what others want us to buy them for Christmas and if we are not real careful, and I
do mean REAL CAREFUL we might miss it. Things go so much better when you listen and pay
attention, LOL.
