Our world in 100 years

In this short essay I will cover some of the biggest problems and phenomena we face today
and try to predict what kind of development could potenitally be made in the future to resolve
them.
First off, we need to take a quick look back at inventions and the path our race has been
walking the past 200 years. Our efforts were mostly put into making travelling and
communication available for the Average Joe. What do we learn from that? Will we keep on
prospering in those fields? What will be our final frontier?
-NASA has had remarkable achievements in their program called 'Space Tourism' and has
made traveling to 'out-of-space' a part of some people's "ride" to work, as many companies
from the biggest economy, China (yes, the will have passed USA by 2040) have beamed their
headquarters to the Moon or even the Mars. Mars is more of a tourist destination rather than a
business district but still there are lots of shoe factories who are being pressed charges for
illegal alien-labor. The first human to set his foot on Mars as a tourist was the 38-year-old US
businessman Patrick Clifford who paid US$ 1.3 billion for his ticket for the trip. Now, many
working class famailies go on vactions to Mars which is known for its healing powers. It
takes usually 5 months to get there, and most families book a room for over one year.
Astonishing.
-The world's population will dramatically increase with India being its most populous state.
The number of 9 billion will probably be reached until 2050. This causes many problems
regarding the spatial distribution of humans who had to find a new place to live in with the
cities of Japan, China, Usa being overfloated with people. I mentioned it earlier, the found
new living space on other planets instead.
-The proportion of senior citizens is increasing due to higher life expectanices in major
regions such as Southeast Asia. However, the total number of citizens is decreasing beaceuse
of low fertility rates which lead to lower populations in those regions.
-The Olympic games are bing held in Nigeria which is the first time an African country is
hosting this 3-week-long event. The highlight at the opening ceremony will be the 16 meters
high 3-d projected Nigerian dancers that will swing across the field, accompanied by
thousands human ones. Government hope that this will promote tourism in Africa even more
than it was before
-This is the best one. Cars in the future will use hydrogen isntead of oil as fuel.
It was a great historic moment when the U.S. pesident officially shut down the last gasoline
pump in the country. Iceland was the first country to implement hydrogen tanks on their gasstations. It is the perfect country for further development in that field because they are self-

sufficient with hydrogen that is being produced through electrolysis based on hydro- and
geothermal power. Half of the 233,000 vehicles in Iceland are now hydrogen-hybrids and
half are fuel cell models. Therefore, this little country in the Northern Atlantic has the most
modern car-fleet in the world.
