Well, today is the last time we
will send the bulletinTHIS
YEAR. Isnt that just simply
hard to believe? Where has the time gone? It
seems we were just going through the Easter Season and then here are at the end of the year. WOW!
This is a wonderful time to reflect, ponder and plan. Reflect means we take time to look back and
see what the year held for us and what we can learn from it. Ponder can be something done in
regards to the past and/or the present. We think on the things of the past or we think of the things we
are currently dealing with. Plan is to strategize about what you want to do and then how that will
come to pass. What a great opportunity we have in the next day or so to reflect, ponder and plan.
Whether you had a good 2014 or not, our attitude about the future is so important as to whether 2015
is good or not. We have the power to control many things about our future. Let us do the best with
what the Lord has given us!!!!!
My wife and I wanted to say a great big thank you to those of you that remembered us during the
Christmas season. Your cards or gifts were so thoughtful and we want you to know that we love you
and appreciate your kind expressions. I also wanted to say thank you to everyone that was involved
in any capacity during the Christmas season here at the church. We had many programs, outreaches,
benevolence opportunities and many of you were part of that. Because of you, our Christmas season
here at Woodruff Church of God was very successful! Thank you for being the church who literally
opens the hand and allows the Lord to use you to help others. WE ARE BLESSED!!!!!!!!!!!

New Tithe Envelopes for next year are available in the Church Lobby. Please pick up a box or
boxes at the next church service. It does not matter what number you get. Our new system goes by
your name, not number. Thank you for your obedience in honoring the Lord with your tithe and
thank you for your faithful and consistent giving. It is because of that giving that we are able to be
hand of God extended, reaching out to the oppressed! May the Lord bless and prosper you and you
honor Him!
Monday, January 5th at 6:00 PM, we will have our annual Bible reading marathon. WE will meet
in the sanctuary and receive passages to read. Our goal is to read all of the New Testament. We
have read much more than that in the past. This reading time is for 1 hour. Make your plans to come
and read the Word of God with us. Bring your children and let them read too.
The reading will be followed by Intercessory Prayer at 7:00 PM. Everyone is welcome!!!!

Married Couples Retreat is scheduled for January 29-31in Pigeon Forge, TN. It will be held
at the Clarion Inn in Pigeon Forge. The price per couple will be $250. A deposit of $125 is due by
Sunday, Jan 11. The balance will be due by January 28. Please make payment to Woodruff
Church of God. Deposits should be given to Pastor Jason. This price includes 3 meals (2
breakfast meals and 1 lunch), lodging, and conference fees. This years speakers will be Byron
and Frankie Powers. Please sign the Sign Up Sheet in the foyer of the church, by January 11, if
you plan to attend. Do not miss this opportunity to strengthen you marriage! A conference
schedule will be available very soon!

Did you read the Bible Through in 2014? Please make sure to stop by and sign the sheet on the
bulletin board in the hallway if you read the Bible through this year! Also, dont forget to pick
up an Every Day with the Word brochure from the rotating display rack in the foyer.

Our next meeting will be on Thursday, January 8th of 2015, in the mancave at 6:30. We will not
be meeting on the first Thursday because that is New Years Day.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR:

Please mark your calendar for January 6, 2015. We are planning a special "HEALING
SERVICE" to be held in the sanctuary at 10 AM on Tuesday morning. If you have personal
needs for healing or if there is someone in your family or maybe a friend, please feel free to
invite them to come with you. We are looking forward to a great morning of worship and
miracles.

Children's Board Meeting January 18 at 5:00 in CLC

Praise and Worship/Drama will start back on January 11 at 5:00.

Volunteers are needed for kiddie church on Sunday Nights, if you would like to volunteer one
