Pastors Notes:

PAS S I O N 1 5
That is our theme, our goal,
hopefully our desire for this year. PASSION!
Passion is any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling. As pastor of the Woodruff Church of
God, I am calling every member, every staff member, every friend of the church to become
PASSIONATE for God. Its time to allow the emotion and spiritual feelings rise up in us again.
Its time to seek Him, desire Him, long for Him, go after Him. Its time to be PASSIONATE about
the church. Not just the meeting place, but the body of Christ. WE are the church and we are called
to live a certain way to do certain things. We should be passionate about REVIVAL! This is what
we need..this is what we WANT! This is the promise of the God to us. WE should be passionate
about SOULS! Prov. 11:30 says he that winneth souls is wise. We should be passionate about
His coming! Jesus is coming! We need to be seeking that and by all means be ready for that. Are
you full of PASSION in regards to the Lord and the things of the Lord? Could you be more
passionate? Please join with me in doing everything within our means to be more passionate for
Him.
I just wanted to say thank you to all those who came out this past Monday night to be part of our
Bible Reading Marathon. We were able to read all the New Testament along with the Psalms &
Proverbs. There is nothing like seeing people sitting around the sanctuary reading the Word of God,
knowing that what they are reading is so life changing and so powerful. Thank you again for helping
us to fill the atmosphere around Woodruff Church of God with the Word of God!
If you read the Bible through in 2014, there is a sign up sheet on one of the bulletin boards in
the long hallway leading to the restrooms. Sign your name so certificates can be prepared at
tthe State Office. I am so proud of those who read the Word of God through each and every
year. Ps. 119:11 says I have hidden they Word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

You still have time to sign up for the Married Couples Retreat. The dates are the end of this
month, January 29-31. We arrive anytime on Thursday after 3. If you cant get there on
Thursday, come on Friday. We had such a great time last year! The sessions were wonderful
and challenging to us as couples and the fellowship together was also great. We are blessed to
have Byron & Frankie Powers to be with us again this year. They did a wonderful job in
leading us and we are blessed to have them again. PLEASE.consider joining with us. Cost is
$250 per couple and includes 2 nights lodging, 3 meals (2 breakfast buffets & one lunch on
Friday).

Our annual FAST will begin on February 15th and will go for 21 days. Mark your calendar
and plan to be part of this fast with us. We have done this for the past 5 years as preparation
for our Revival services in March. Some things only come about by prayer & fasting.
REKINDLE Revival Services are scheduled for March 7-8, March 14-15 and March 21-22.
Please, please, please..go ahead and mark your calendars and reserve these Saturdays and
Sundays for these services.

Did you read the Bible Through in 2014? Please make sure to stop by and sign the sheet on the
bulletin board in the hallway if you read the Bible through this year! Also, dont forget to pick
up an Every Day with the Word brochure from the rotating display rack in the foyer.

Join us at PIZZA INN on Woodruff Rd. this Thursday evening, January 8. This will
