Skills as a Chief Engineer for 20 months and as a Technical Superintendent/Manager(DPA&CSO) for


about 50 months.

Operations &Maintenance, Safety & Security, ISM implementation, Risk Assessment, Engineering
skills on Static & Rotating equipments, Pumps, Compressors, Turbines, Purifiers, Power Generators
(YANMAR.DIHATSHU, SULZER WITH HFO & DO), Main Engines (SULZER, MAN B&W,
AKASAKA MITSUBISHI,PIELSTICK), Boilers, Refrigeration plant, Air condition plant, Marine
Survey, Engineering Survey, Certifications, Report writing as per ISM etc.
My Job responsibilities in present job:
1. In charge of Technical and Safety management system of all fleet vessels and office.
2. Day to day operations & Maintenance of Machineries of all fleet ships.
3. Ensuring all marine shipboard security safety and environmental deficiencies are rectified
in accordance with international regulations and Company procedures as per ISM.
4. Act as a Designated Person Ashore. Responsible for issue, distribution and control of
relevant Rules, Regulations, Codes and Guidelines to ship's masters and withdrawal of
obsolete copies.
5. Development, implementation and maintenance of the Safety management system and
PMS for the fleet
6. Ship staff training and familiarization to improve and update their knowledge and training.
7. Ensuring that the ships are manned and maintained in accordance with regulations and that
ships crew are suitably trained and experienced to S.T.C.W. requirements.
8. Participating in S.M.M review meetings and conducting internal audits of ISM.
9. Participate with Class and flag surveyor during each survey.
10. Dealing with non-conformities covering technical procedures of the S.M.M. both ashore
and afloat.
11. Ensuring that ships are maintained to International Regulations and Company procedures.
12. Ensuring that statutory, classification, P&I and Flag state surveys for all plant and
equipment on fleet ships are carried out in time.
13. Day to day monitoring of repairs, making yearly budget, and preparation for dry docking.
Arrangement and supervision of Dry-Docking of fleet vessels.
14. Investigating accidents reports regarding safety, machinery failures and any resulting
insurance claims as DPA/CSO.
15. Ensuring that the Stores Bunker, Spares etc. required for the efficient operation of the
vessels are expedited to those ship's without delay.
16. Conducting Technical inspection on board, drydocking.
17. Ensures all personnel under my supervision are carrying out their duties in satisfactory
manner.
