Caractristiques des cbles acier avec embouts terminaux
Characteristics of wire ropes with end connectors
Aufbau und Herstellung
Drahtseile werden aus kaltgezogenen Drhten mit
hohen Festigkeitswerten hergestellt. Die Drhte 1
werden schraubenlinienfrmig um den Kerndraht
2 zur Litze 3 verarbeitet. Zum Schluss werden diese um eine Stahleinlage (SE) 4 zum fertigen Seil 5
geschlagen. Die Schlaglnge L ist der Messwert
fr die Ganghhe einer Litzenumwindung.
Der Fllfaktor ist das Verhltnis des metallischen Querschnittes zur Flche des Seilquerschnittes.
Der metallische Querschnitt (mm2) ist die
Summe der Querschnitte A aller Drhte im Seil.
Die Nennfestigkeit kennzeichnet die Zugkraft des Drahtes in Newton N bezogen auf
1 mm (Quadratmillimeter).
Die rechnerische Bruchkraft ist das Produkt aus metallischem Querschnitt und der Nennfestigkeit der Drhte.
Die Mindestbruchkraft des Seiles ist das
Produkt aus rechnerischer Bruchkraft und Verseilverlust.
Die wirkliche Bruchkraft wird mittels zerstrender Prfung am ganzen Seilstrang ermittelt.
Der Verseilfaktor ist ein Korrekturwert, der
den Verseilverlust kompensiert.
Fabrication dun cble

Les cbles acier sont fabriqus partir de fils
prtirs de haute rsistance. Les fils 1 tournent
autour dun fil central 2 sous forme de spirale.
Ceci constitue un toron 3. Les torons viennent se
positionner autour dune me mtallique (AM) 4
pour constituer un cble 5. Le pas de cblage L
est la valeur permettant de mesurer le pas dune
torsion de toron.
Le coefficient de remplissage indique le
rapport entre la section mtallique et la superficie
de la section du cble.
La section mtallique (mm2) reprsente la
somme des sections A de tous les fils dans le
cble.
La rsistance nominale dsigne la force de
traction du fil en newton (N) par rapport 1 mm
(millimtre carr).
La charge de rupture calcule est le produit de la section mtallique et de la rsistance
nominale des fils.
La charge de rupture minimale du cble
est le produit de la charge de rupture calcule et
de la perte au commettage.
La charge de rupture relle est dtermine
au moyen dun essai destructif du cble dans son
ensemble.
Le facteur de cblage est une valeur de correction permettant de compenser la perte au
commettage.
Wire rope design and manufacture

Wire ropes are made of high-strength cold-drawn
wires. The wires 1 are helically wound around the
core 2 to form a strand 3. The strands are then
twisted around a steel core 4 to produce the finished rope 5. The length of lay L is the measuring
value for the pitch of a lay.
The fill factor is the ratio between the metallic
cross section and the total rope cross section.
The metallic cross section (mm2) is the
sum of the cross sections A of all wires in the rope.
The nominal strength is the tensile strength
of the wire in newton (N) per square millimeter.
The calculated breaking strength is the
product of the metallic cross section and the nominal strength of the wires.
The minimum breaking strength of the
rope is the product of the calculated breaking
strength and the spinning loss factor.
The actual breaking strength is determined in a destructive test of the entire rope leg.
The spinning loss factor is a correction value which takes into account the difference between the calculated and the actual breaking
strengths.

Drahtseile knnen nur Zugkrfte aufnehmen. Das Verhltnis Zugkraft/Eigengewicht
ist sehr gnstig. Durch die einfache Handhabung
des Drahtseils sowie die fast unendlich grossen
Kombinationsmglichkeiten mit den verschiedenen Endverbindungen sind technisch und sthetisch hervorstechende Problemlsungen sehr
wirtschaftlich zu realisieren.
Dehnung unter Belastung. Die SpannungsDehnungs-Linie von neuen Drahtseilen ist nicht linear und bei Be- und Entlastung unterschiedlich.
Zahlenwerte fr Elastizittsmodule E sind Mittelwerte. Sie sind umso grsser, je kleiner die Zahl
der Drhte und Litzen im Seil, je grsser die
Schlaglnge und je lnger die Anwendungszeit.
Dehnung unter Temperatureinfluss wird
rechnerisch gleich behandelt wie fr Stahl. Die zulssigen Betriebstemperaturen liegen bei 40 C
bis +100 C, kurzzeitig bis +250 C.

Allongement sous tension. La courbe tension/allongement dun nouveau cble acier nest
pas linaire. Elle est variable en fonction des tensions appliques. Les valeurs des modules
dlasticit E sont des moyennes. Cette valeur
augmente dans le temps plus la porte du cble
est longue et moins le cble comporte de fils et de
torons.
Allongement sous variations de la temprature: il se calcule de la mme manire que
pour lacier. Les tempratures admissibles vont de
40 C +100 C, voire jusqu +250 C pendant
une courte dure.
Wire ropes can only absorb tensile

forces. The tensile force to intrinsic weight ratio is
very favourable. Because wire ropes are so easy
to handle, and in view of the almost unlimited
number of end connector combinations, it is very
cost-effective to create technically and esthetically
outstanding solutions.
Elongation under load. The tension/elongation curve of new wire ropes is not linear, and different curves apply to the load and relief conditions. The numeric values of the modulus of
elasticity E are averages. A smaller number of
wires and strands in the rope, a longer twisted
length and a longer application period produce a
larger E number.
Thermal elongation is calculated the same
as for steel. The permissible service temperatures
range from 40C to +100C, briefly up to
+250C.

Seilendverbindungen von Jakob erreichen in
der Regel eine Zugfestigkeit von mindestens 90%
der Seilmindestbruchkraft.
Bedingt durch die Vielfalt der Kombinationsmglichkeiten von Jakob-Seilendverbindungen,
kann die zulssige Belastung nicht pauschal beurteilt werden.
Je nach Anwendungsfall muss die Konstruktion
unter Bercksichtigung rtlicher Gegebenheiten,
wie zum Beispiel geltende normative und gesetzliche Vorgaben, Klima- und Umwelteinflsse etc.,
von Fachpersonal geplant, dokumentiert
und installiert werden.
Bei Angaben ber Krfte und Belastungen ist
immer zu vermerken, ob der Sicherheitsfaktor eingerechnet ist. Vor der Auswahl der Seilkonfektion ist die effektive Kraft A, mit welcher
das Drahtseil belastet wird, zu bestimmen. Ein
zustzlicher Sicherheitsfaktor B garantiert, dass
die effektive Kraft in jedem Fall vom Seil aufgenommen werden kann (A + B = C).

Selon lutilisation prvue, la construction doit
tre planifie, documente et installe par
un personnel qualifi en tenant compte des
conditions locales telles que, par exemple, les
prescriptions normatives et lgales en vigueur, les
influences climatiques et environnementales, etc.
Lors de lindication des charges et des
contraintes, il faut toujours prciser si le coefficient de scurit a t inclus dans le
calcul. Avant de slectionner le type de confection du cble, il est ncessaire de dterminer la
force relle A exerce sur celui-ci. Ajouter une
marge de scurit B, pour garantir que la force
relle sera supporte par le cble (A + B = C).

As a rule, Jakob rope end connectors attain a

tensile strength of at least 90% of the minimal
breaking strength of the rope.
In view of the diversity of combinations in which
Jakob rope end connectors can be used, universally valid permissible loads cannot be stated.
Depending on the application, configurations
must be planned, documented, and installed by qualified technicians under consideration of local circumstances, including building codes and legislation as well as climate and
environmental factors, etc.
When you mention forces and loads, always indicate whether or not you have already added
the safety factor. Before you select a cable assembly, determine the effective force A which the
wire rope must be able to withstand. Then add a
safety factor B to assure that the wire rope can
definitely handle the effective force (A + B = C).

Bei Seilkonfektionen sollte mindestens auf einer
Seite eine Spannmglichkeit bestehen. Ist dies
aus technischen Grnden nicht machbar, besteht
die Mglichkeit, zwischen den Enden ein Spannschloss A /B zu integrieren.

Werkstoff
Die unterschiedliche Zusammensetzung der umgebenden Atmosphre bestimmt die Auswahl des
geeigneten Werkstoffes. Man unterscheidet zwischen lndlicher, stdtischer, industrieller und
maritimer Atmosphre. Die Stadt- und Industrieatmosphre enthlt im Wesentlichen aggressive
Substanzen in Form von kohlenstoffhaltigen Partikeln und Schwefeldioxid SO2. In Meeresnhe sind
es hauptschlich chloridionenhaltige Aerosole.
Demgegenber ist die Landatmosphre vergleichsweise unkritisch. Die meisten Teile des
Jakob -Programms sind aus der Werkstoffgruppe AISI 316 gefertigt.
Matriel
La composition de latmosphre est un facteur cl
pour le choix du matriel appropri. On distingue
les atmosphres rurales, urbaines, industrielles et
maritimes. Les atmosphres urbaines et industrielles contiennent essentiellement des substances agressives sous forme de particules de
carbone et de dioxyde de soufre SO2. Prs de la
mer, on relve avant tout des arosols forte teneur en ions chlorure. En comparaison, latmosphre rurale est en gnral assez neutre.
La plupart des composants du programme
Jakob sont fabriqus dans le groupe de
matriaux AISI 316.
Material
The characteristics of the ambient atmosphere
determine the selection of the most suitable materials. A distinction is made between rural, urban,
industrial, and maritime climates.
The urban and industrial atmospheres typically
contain aggressive substances in the form of carbon-containing particles and sulfur dioxide SO2.
Chloride ion-containing aerosols are found in maritime climates. The rural atmosphere is comparatively benign.
Most Jakob components are made from
the AISI 316 material group.

Caution: The rope position must be absolutely free of lubricants.

die eventuell verpresste Endverbindung
(zum Beispiel M10/M6).
Beim Pressvorgang verlngert sich
das Mass b um 3 bis 6%.

Le filetage intermdiaire du cble choisi
possde un diamtre de filetage (a) suprieur
au diamtre des autres embouts sertis
(exemple: M10/M6).
La cote b sallonge de 3 6% lors du
sertissage.
