How healthy is job market in this role?

Human resources management is a fast growing career field with
many lucrative opportunities. Human resource provides an excellent
foundation in senior management and wide range of career
including postgraduate entry points in sales and recruitment. It is
the most on demand sector in UK in terms of job market at the
moment. For instance, we can refer the latest report of HR job
market for 2013.

1. The reed.co.uk Job Index has showed that the job market
for HR has grown by 32% than the previous year. It
indicates that businesses are feeling secure enough to
invest in their work force (nzimiro, 2013).
2. From the recent EU survey, HR strategies are generally
used to be limited in governmental strategies, supporting
to a certain extent of the organisational changes or in
general more conceptual level but lately the study found
that HR strategy is also appropriate to local requirements

and to implement it effectively. This allows the wider range

of job market for HR specialists (Presidence
luxembourgeoise du conseil de l'Union europeenne, 2005).
3. According to the report, more than a third (39%) of UK HR
workers are looking for new job opportunities in 2013 which
means confidence has returned to the HR jobs market and
three quarters (75%)of the HR sector feel secure in their
employment which means there is a sense of security.
4. As HR sector is booming, there is competition among
employers concerning about losing talent, thus resulting in
investing in staff through training and promotion
opportunities.
Hence we can assume that in a growing number of organisations
human resources are now viewed as a source of competitive
advantage and have a greater recognition, thus job market in HR
sector is very healthy.
