 OPERATIONS
The bus team begins at
7:30a.m. by cooking a
vegetable-rice soup, and
the hot cocoa in the win-
ter or lemonade in the
summer. The team also
stops by two bakery’s to
pick up bread and stock
the bus for the day.
As The Bus pulls into
“that day’s” location, the
team opens the windows
on the side of the bus and

people on the sidewalk.
Then, the team hangs out
with the people eating and Recovery for Juan
through conversation,
identifies their immediate
needs, prays, connects
them to resources for
help, and shares the
opportunity for them to
receive Jesus,
surrendering to Him.

cision for Jesus, and was willing to go to Betel for further discipleship
and help with employment. Pray for Jose to find work and that his
relationship with God grows.
Hope for a Struggling Family
Melissa met Eve at Tremont Park in the
Bronx. Eve is from Haiti, a single
mother struggling to feed and care for
her 6 children. She is a sweet and lov-
ing woman who regularly comes to the
bus for help. Since their family didn’t
get much for Christmas, Melissa
brought toys from home for her kids
and bought her groceries. Since the
recent earthquake
in Haiti, we have
yet to speak with
Eve to see if she
has any family in
her country. We
will keep you
posted. As
Melissa builds
relationship with
Eve, and ministers
God’s love, pray
that Eve comes to
know Jesus.

It was a cold and wet December day at The Relief Bus in
the South Bronx. Juan (on the left) went with Dave
(right) to Betel of America, a Christian recovery center
in Queens. Juan has been struggling with alcoholism
and is ready for Jesus to do a good work in his life. We
prayed for Juan, and sent him with Dave for recovery!
