Naisargik Karakas or Natural Significators

In Vedic Astrology, planets assume the role of Karakas in Lagna Charts and
Divisional Charts.

Karakas are of three types:

Sthir Karakas (Fixed Significators)
Char Karakas (Movable Significators)
Naisargik Karakas (Natural Significators)

Naisargik Karakas or Natural Significators are the planets that are used to
see specific matters, in specific houses.

Sun
1st house from Sun shows self, soul, physical constitution and health in
general.
5th house from Sun shows power and fame.
9th house from Sun shows matters related to father, superiors, boss.
10th house from Sun shows findings of profession and achievements.
Moon
1st house from Moon shows own mind.
4th house from Moon shows matters pertaining to mother, happiness and
peace of mind.

11th house from Moon shows friends.

Mars
3rd house from Mars shows courage, aggression, initiation, determination
and younger siblings.
4th house from Mars shows matters pertaining to land and properties.
5th house from Mars shows matters of speculation.
6th house from Mars shows enemies, accidents, diseases, debts and loans.
Mercury
2nd house from Mercury shows speech.
4th house from Mercury shows learning, analytical power and logical
capability.
5th house from Mercury shows memory, scholarships and students.
10th house from Mercury shows professional achievements and honors.
Jupiter
2nd house from Jupiter shows family and wealth in general.
4th house from Jupiter is used to analyze traditional learning.
5th house from Jupiter shows intelligence and children.
9th house from Jupiter shows furtune, religion, teacher.
11th house from Jupiter shows elder brother and gains.
Venus
4th house from Venus shows vehicles.

7th house from Venus is used to assess spouse and marital bliss.
12th house from Venus is used to assess pleasures of bed.
Saturn
5th house from Saturn shows the followers that one would have.
6th house from Saturn shows servants.
8th house from Saturn shows troubles and longevity.
12th house from Saturn shows losses, imprisonment and hospitalization.
Rahu
6th house from Rahu shows accidents.
8th house from Rahu is used to assess knowledge of the occult.
9th house from Rahu is used to assess pilgrimages and abroad trips.
Ketu
8th house from Ketu is used to assess knowledge of the occult.
9th house from Rahu is used to analyze pilgrimages and going abroad.
12 house from Ketu shows renunciation (Moksha)

Planets as Natural Significators

Each planet serves as the Natural Significator of a house. To evaluate
matters associated with a house, the natural significator planet of that
house can be taken as reference. In the table below, houses and their
natural significator planets are listed. I am citing few examples below the
table for enhanced understanding.

When

we

analyze

determination,

initiation,

courage,

aggression or

persistence or weapons or younger brothers or the expenditure on

house / car, analysis of the 3rd house in the relevant divisional chart should
be carried out. In such cases, we should analyse the 3rd house from lagna
and the 3rd house from Mars and draw conclusions based on the strength of
both.
If Mars is stronger than Lagna, then the 3rd house from Mars stands for
higher importance than the 3rd house from Lagna.

House to be seen for FATHER: 9th from Sun and the 9th from lagna
House to be seen for CHILDREN: 5th from lagna and the 5th from Jupiter
House to be seen for SPOUSE: 7th from lagna and the 7th from Venus
House to be seen for MATERNAL UNCLE: 6th from lagna and the 6th from
Mercury
House to be seen for LOSSES: 12th from lagna and the 12th from Saturn
