Cost Saving Measures

Avoid engaging nose wheel steering while aircraft is static.
For trips up to 330 nm: Distance + 120 = Flight Level
For example, trip distance = 250 +120 = FL 370
Runway length permitting, use only aerodynamic braking to 95 kts
to yield 19% brake cost reduction (without reversers). Use only
aerodynamic braking to 80 kts to yield 48% brake cost
reduction (with reversers). Both instances increase landing
distance by only 450 ft.
Leave Emergency Batteries, Autopilot, and Yaw Dampers On;
Radar in STBY; and leave Standby gyro uncaged until aircraft
is stopped on the ramp.
Dont move A/C for 20 minutes after shutdown (all gyros stopped).
Avoid transmitting with Comm 1 and 2 tuned into indentical freqs.
