Associate (CCNA)
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is a certification program for entry-level network professionals which
helps maximize their investment in foundational networking knowledge and increase the value of system
infrastructure network. CCNA certification is for Network Specialists, Network Administrators, and Network Support
Engineers with 1-3 years of experience and it validates their ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot
medium-size routed and switched networks. To achieve this certification, students are required to complete both
ICND1 and ICND 2 courses and pass the required examinations.

Operate a Medium-sized LAN with Multiple Switches, Supporting VLANs, Trunking,
and Spanning Tree,
Troubleshoot IP Connectivity,
Configure and Troubleshoot EIGRP in IPv4 Environment,
Configure EIGRP for IPv6,
Configure and Troubleshoot OSPF in IPv4 Environment, and Configure OSPF for IPv6 Define
Characteristics, Functions and Components of a WAN, and
Describe SNMP, Syslog and Netflow, and Manage Cisco Device Configurations, IOS Images
and Licenses.

computer-based examination in order to
receive the Cisco Certified Network Associate

CCNA Routing and Switching certification oers professionals job-ready training and skills. The
certification lays the foundation for job roles such as network administrator, network engineer
or network specialist. Candidates gain knowhow installing, monitoring and troubleshooting
network infrastructure. The curriculum includes Cisco switches, routers, basic mitigation of
security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and
performance based skills. The curriculum also covers the use of the following protocols: IP,
Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Serial Line Interface Protocol,
Frame Relay, VLANs, OSPF, Ethernet and Access Control Lists (ACLs). The curriculum also includes
managing Cisco devices with IOS v15, Cisco licensing and extensive troubleshooting.
