WATER ON EMPTY
STOMACH
(With additional research by Michael Princey)

DRINK WATER ON EMPTY STOMACH

It is popular in Japan today to drink water immediately after waking up
each morning. Furthermore, recent scientific tests have proven its value
for old and serious diseases and even more modern illnesses. The “water
treatment” has been found successful by a Japanese medical society as an
effective symptom reliever and sometimes cure for several major diseases.
The following included:

 Diabetes;
 Hypertension (high blood pressure);
 Heart disease; Heart palpitations (irregular or excessive heart
beat);
 Cancer;
 Asthma;
 Epilepsy;
 Kidney and urinary track diseases;
 Obesity (excess fatness); bronchitis; tuberculosis.

Other diseases that are positively impacted by the regimen include:

 Diseases of the ear, nose & throat;

 Diseases affecting the eye;
 Menstrual and other female reproductive disorders;
 Hemorrhoids (piles);
 Arthritis;
 Head aches; body aches;
 Diarrhea and vomiting;
 Meningitis;

 Gastritis and
 Constipation.

METHOD OF TREATMENT
1. Upon arising in the morning and before brushing teeth, drink 640ml
(approximately 2 ½ cups) of water
2. After drinking the water, brush and gargle as desired but wait 45
minutes before eating or drinking anything.
3. After 45 minutes you may eat your normal breakfast.
4. After meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc.) do not eat or drink
anything for 2 hours during the treatment period.
5. After the two hours repeat the cycle, ie: drink the prescribe portion of
water; wait 45 minutes before eating, etc.

Note: Those elderly or sick who are unable to drink the 2 ½ Cups of
water at the beginning should build up their water intake gradually from
½ Cup to the recommended 2 ½ Cups.

Arthritis patients should follow the regimen only three days during week
one, then begin the full treatment in week two.

Japanese researchers suggest that the water treatment be added

permanently to one’s daily routine for ongoing benefit even after the
treatment period, though the amount of water may be reduced by half.

The following give the number of days of treatment required for

significant improvement and sometimes cure.

1. High Blood Pressure (30 days)

2. Gastric (10 days)

3. Diabetes (30 days)

4. Constipation (10 days)

5. Cancer (180 days)

6. Tuberculosis (90 days)

Side effects: The water treatment has no known serious side effect,
however at the commencement of treatment you may urinate more
frequently.

A NOTE ABOUT COLD LIQUIDS DURING OR

AFTER A MEAL

Many people especially in the west drink cold liquid after or during a
meal. However, the cold liquid will help to solidify the oily stuff that you
have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion.

Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid, it will break down and be
absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the
intestine.

Very soon, this will turn into fats and in some cases lead to cancer. It is
best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not cold water.

For fairness and accuracy we note that this notion has been challenged by some
in Western medicine, who state that all ingested liquid reach a certain internal
temperature before it reaches the intestines.

A SERIOUS NOTE ABOUT HEART ATTACKS

Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be
the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line. Pain in the
jaw can wake you from a sound sleep.

You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart
attack.

Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.

60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake
up.

Be careful and be aware. The more we know the better chances of

survival.

Questions and Comments posted on a blog regarding the regimen

SUganthi Alagumalai February 24, 2009 at 7:13 am

I don’t feel comfortable drinking water before brushing. Is it ok to drink
after brushing?
BTW, will the germs in the mouth will reach the intestine, if water is
drank without brushing?

Suganthi…

You can and should scrape your tongue (get a stainless steel tongue
scraper) before you drink the water, and that will remove most of the
germs from the mouth.

Challenge to the regimen

The Japanese Water Cure’s efficacy in curing or mediating serious

disease such as cancer has been challenged by some in the sphere of
traditional medicine including a web site which questions its accuracy.
However the National Cancer Institute’s world report on cancer
incidents does confirm the lowest rates of prostate cancer on the Asian
continent with the people of Qidong, China having the lowest rates in the
world at 0.8 per 100,000. According to the NCI Report the highest rates
of prostate cancer were found for black men in Atlanta, Georgia at 102.0
per 100,000.

Western Adherents

Water as a cure to chronic disease does have its adherents in western

medicine. According to a NY TIMES ARTICLE published in 1983 under
the headline: SCIENCE WATCH; DOCTOR FINDS ULCER
REMEDY WHILE IN IRAN PRISON, one such adherent is Dr
Batmanghelidj, an Iranian born physician now living in the US.

The article goes on to read: UNDER the grim conditions of captivity in

Evin prison in Teheran, Iran, a physician found what he believes to be a
new and remarkable treatment for the pain of peptic ulcers.

5 | Page – The Japanese Water Cure

The treatment is simply several glasses of water taken at prescribed
regular intervals. Dr. F. Batmanghelidj discovered the treatment largely
by accident, but was able to examine about 3,000 patients and follow the
medical fate of more than 600, mostly fellow prisoners…

…It started with one patient suffering unbearable ulcer pain late at night.
The doctor treated him with 500 cubic centimeters (about a pint) of
water, evidently because nothing else was available at that hour.

''His pain became less severe and then disappeared completely after eight
minutes,'' said the report.'' The physician was so impressed that he
prescribed two glasses of water six times a day and achieved a ''clinical
cure'' of the ulcer attack during the patient's stay of a few months in the
prison. After that, Dr. Batmanghelidj used the treatment in other
prisoners, reducing the amount to one glass half an hour before eating
and another glass two and a half hours later.

Gradually, the treatment came into use throughout the prison as its
effectiveness became clear in patients whose chronic ulcers were
exacerbated by the stress of prison life.

Dr. Howard M. Spiro, editor in chief of The Journal of Clinical

Gastroenterology, conceded in a note that the treatment might have
worked because the patients hoped it would, and that some might not
really have had ulcers at all. But he said the observations were ''very
important'' and that they ''emphasize what an indomitable clinical
observer and investigator can learn even in prison.''

Dr. Batmanghelidj said the almost total lack of demand for antacid from
the pharmacy during the last few months of his stay was an added clue to
the treatment's effectiveness.

According to www.WATERCURE.com, a website connected with Dr.

Batmanghelidj research, “Water is the basis of all life and that includes
your body. Your muscles that move your body are 75% water; your blood
that transport nutrients is 82% water; your lungs that provide your

oxygen are 90% water; your brain that is the control center of your body
is 76% water; even your bones are 25% water.

Our health is truly dependent on the quality and quantity of the water we
drink.”

According to the website, Dr. B's pioneering work shows that

Unintentional Chronic Dehydration (UCD) contributes to and even
produces pain and many degenerative diseases (including Cancer) that
can be prevented and treated by increasing water intake on a regular
basis.
