In subordinate clauses, the word

order is the same as in simple affirmative
sentences. (Conjunctions are often used
between two clauses):
Ex:I will tell you the story tomorrow
because I dont have time now.
You can also put adverbs of time at
the beginning of the sentence:
Ex: Yesyerday I found a wallet in the street.
Note that some time expressions are adverbs of frequency
(always, never, usually). These are usually put before the main
verb (except for 'be' as a main verb).
Ex: She is always asking me questions.
In yes-no questions we use the auxiliary verb first,
followed by the subject and the main verb. The same order of
statements is used for the rest of the sentence.
Ex: Did he lend you the book?
In wh-questions we start with the question word (who,
what, which, whose, how, where, when, why) followed by the
auxiliary verb, the subject and the main verb. The rest remains
the same as in a statement.
Ex: Who did you meet at the party last Sunday?
When there are two objects in a sentence (indirect and
direct) , the indirect object is often used first:
Ex: Linda sent me a present.
If we use the direct object first, we must use a preposition
before the indirect object, normally to:
Ex: Linda sent a present to me.
When the direct object is a pronoun, we must use it before
the indirect object.
Ex: Linda sent it to me.
Not: Linda sent me it.

Amanda spoke in the meeting very angrily.

Larry phoned him from the office this mo
rning.
Does often he wait for you after school?
They always are fighting about silly things.
Helen and her brother went camping last
summer.
She bought a new cd. She showed me it
yesterday.
They helped in the kitchen their mother.
Has she been lately to the cinema?
Who did meet you outside the supermarket?
Lara arrived yesterday at school very late.
