Dear Friends,

As an update on Josh and Susan Sanchez, they are excited about the minis
try the Lord has in store for them in Mexico. They met a family in the city

of Manzanillo who became Christians about eight years ago, but have had
no one else in their city to worship with. There is no Christian church in
Manzanillo at this time. This family has asked Josh and Susan to come and
teach them and start a Christian church there. Josh and Susan plan to min
ister to them and with them as they plant the first Christian church in that
city. Continue to pray for them and the ministry the Lord has in store for
them there.

Outreach International continues to have missionaries working in about 15
countries. We praise God for the opportunity to have workers in these ar

eas sharing the Gospel of Christ to people who might not have the chance to
hear the truth otherwise. Please pray for more workers. Every missionary
and missionary family that we know is asking for help. Workers are
needed. Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out more workers.

We want to remind you that we have a great internship opportunity in

South Africa this summer led by Stacy Gamer. The dates of that internship

times dangerous work felling and transporting trees. This is an exciting time as so many
people will benefit from the addition of this first multipurpose building which will house the
library, a classroom for the preschool, and Sunday School, plus space underneath for fuel

storage and a garage for the tractor and four-wheeler and newly cut timber.
We introduced you to the work in France in our last newsletter. Since that time, Aime-Caroline

Baird gave birth to their third child, Clement. He was bom about two months early and had to
stay in the hospital for a while, but he's home nowand doing well. The work in France continues
to see fruit, and we praise God for that.

February was a busy month. I (Jonathan) spent a week at Le Toumeau College in Longview,
Texas for their Mission EmphasisWeek. We had a booth and I had several devotions and classes.

I started getting what I thought was a sinus cold, but ended up having avirus. I ended up iniso
lation in the hospital for two weeks. I could not go outof the room. I had to wear a mask, inhal
ing strong medicine, for six hours on and two hours off, continuously for five days. I am back on
my feet again and doing well. Thank you all for your continued prayers. I am seeing more and
more transplant friends not doing so well. God continues to keep me going. During my hospitalization, my Dad, Al, spoke for me in Evansville Indiana where I was a part of a Perspectives
course. I also had another appointment in Madisonville, Kentucky thatone ofour directors, John
Schofield, took over for me. Thanks to both of them for taking my place when Icouldn't go.
Teri and I continue to work weekly here in town with International college students and a high
school youth group. Teri still teaches English to International students part time and I am keep
ing busy with office type things with O.I. and our missionaries on the field. We thank you for all
yourprayers and support. May God be praised in allwe think, ailwesay, and allwe do.
We love you all,

Dear Friends and Co-workers in the Gospel,

Alot has happened since our last newsletter. Teri and I have been going
non-stop here on the homefront while work is being done on the front lines by
these who have heard the call of God on their lives and have been burdened for

lost and unreached people enough to go to them and take the love of Jesus to

them. May we all do our best to serve these missionaries overseas if we can't go

oiurselves.

churches there. Todd Robertus from Platte Valley went and helped George teach.
They had a great trip. Russian leaders from three different churches expressed an
interest in hosting American students to serve as summer interns. So, they are
looking for interns next year to go and work for three months. Contact us if you,
or someone you know, are interested.

Allen and Betty Pierce came back to the states from

Equatorial Guinea for an 8-10 month furlough. Charles and

Bridget Ulibarri are there holding down the fort in their ab-|

sence. The team there is needing a lot of help. They have the

facilities to host short-term and long-term workers. Please help |:

find workers to go serve in this area. Bible translation is going

on, literacy work, evangelism, construction work and more.

please contact us.

We have spent time with the Pierce family and plan to spend more time
while they are here. Teri and I, along with my dad, Al, have spent a lot of time
with our family who works in Southeast Asia. Their ministry review went well
and the whole family is ready to return August 7th. If you would like to know
more about the work in Southeast Asia, contact us. We are more than happy to
share with you, but have to do so carefully, due to the sensitive nature of the work.

Teri hada lotofflying points saved up, so she made a trip back to China in

jonham@flash.nefi May. She was able to spend time with former teammates, as well as students and
.

teachers she worked with when she lived there. She spent a week inBeijing and a
week inher old hometown, Yinchuan. She had many opportunities to encourage
believers, as well as continue to share Christ's love with her old friends. She had

the opportunity to share her life and her faith with these former students pictured
with her (eating mutton-on-a-stick at an outside market). Teri shared the gospel
with them when they were her coUege students four or five years ago, and also

there. I am open to having a chance to come share with your church about the current needs and opportu

nities that OI missionaries have and what your church can do to be more involved in missions and in

reaching these unreached people groups.

I am planning to visit several campus ministries this fall to

share the opportunities we have with ourresearch project. Students in Research (SIR). This is a project in
which students can get involved in researching an unreached people group and then making a siuvey trip
to that people group. Some funds for this have been designated, but these campus ministry opportunities
are out-of-pocket expenses. Ifyou can help financially, or know anyone who can, the help would be ap
preciated. Send the funds to Outreach International, with a note attached saying "travel for Jonathan."
And ifyou'd like toknow more about the SIR project, feel free to contact us byphone or email andwe'll be
glad to share more about that with you. We're excited about the opportunities and possibilities to find
more people to go to these unreached countries.
Teri and I continue to work with international students

here at UTA where Teri teaches. We enjoy the time we can share

with them. One man that we spend time with is Li Bo from

Chma. He is a businessman and is working on an EMBA. We

are his host family, which means we spend alot of time with him

and help him in any way we can. His wife and 14-year-old
daughter wiU arrive this week to spend a month or so with him
diuing the summer. Pray for Li Bo and his family as they spend
time with us and other Christians. The opportunities here in the

^
~

states for them to hear the gospel and to feel comfortable asking
questions and seeking God are so much greater than in China.

As we know, many students from closed countries become Christians while in the US andthen go back to
their home countries and spread the gospel. We pray this for liBoandhis family. We also pray this for all
of the international students we work with.

We have a missions conference we're getting ready for and we just got a brochure ready to print
for this SIR project Ijust mentioned. We are needing $350 to print it. If you would like to help with that, it
would be appreciated. Speaking of financial help, my medication co-pay that we pay out-of-pocket each
month has gone up to $465, due to a change in my insulin. We are needing help to make ends meet. This
co-pay is, ofcourse, what insurance doesn't pay. We are also payingover$500 a monthfor insiuance cov
erage.

The work is going on. We look for more workers aU the time. Workers and churches that want to

send them are the two things most needed. Are we doing ^ wecan to see the job done? Fray thatwe all
are. Thanks for your prayers and support and forbeing a part ofthis ministry.
le love you.

Dear Friends and Family,

During this Thanksgiving season, as always, we thank God for you and your partner
ship in this ministry. We appreciate your prayers and your gifts. We hope you continue to
pray for all missionaries serving overseas, those mentioned in this letter as well as those
know personally.

We have had several people in the past few months ask about coming under the
umbrella of O.I. We are glad to help them as they find aneed to be with an organization
such as this. One young lady is working in the streets of Calcutta, India with street girls
trying to help them get out from under that kind of lifestyle and share the Gospel of Christ
with them. We can't mention her name, as it is a pretty sensitive situation. It worked out
that we were able to help her. Teri and Ialso shared with two high school kids in Oklahoma
about missions and the opportunity to go to South Africa with Stacy Gamer the summer of
2006. They want to go into mission work full time, eventually. One student, Zane,
junior this year and Linsey is asenior. They will make good recruits, sharp kids

A Couple ofMissionary Updates

With Allen and Betty Pierce right here in the area, we have enjoyed visiting with
them a couple of times since they have been back on furlough. Always a pleasure to hear
how the work of the Lord is going over there in Equatorial Guinea. We are happy to hear
that Charles and Bridget Ulibarri are doing well in the Pierce's absence.

Jessie and Karie Pryor are in the States from New Guinea for afew months on break and having ababy. Bill
and Anne Caroline Baird were here in the States just for about three months taking asmall break as well. Sonja and
Dale were able to meet with them and get updated on the work in France.

I sent out ISO packets of information about the Students in Research project to all the Christian Campus
Ministries and Bible Colleges in the country. We have not had a heavy response yet, but just sent them out about 4

weeks ago. Hope we find more response from kids interested in reaching some of these un-reached places.
Teri and 1are doing well.

I have been busy the past two months with health things. I caught a little

infection of som^ sorts and my spirometry went down some. They gave me abroncoscopy but it was good and clean

in my lungs. L'had lost alittle weight the past two months and my stomach was not working just right. They did a

routine colprtbscopy on me and found abig tumor, just about the size of my colon. They took abiopsy of it and found
It to be malignant. Well, they are going to take aportion of my colon out where the tumor is. Maybe more.
Anyway, they will be doing the surgery on the 15^ of this month. 1will probably already have had the surgery by the
time you get this. Not sure what recovery will entail etc. just depends on what they fmi
Iam also now on an insulin pump for my diabetes. It has taken me awhile to get used to using it and they are
still adjusting my insulin doses and all the minor things that go with it. Ilike the pump and it seems to work well for
me and is helping me keep better control over my blood sugar levels.

Teri and Iare doing good otherwise. Keeping busy with office work and the regular routine of Bible studies

with international college students, high school kids at church etc. Teri has also been working with agroup of Chinese
people on Sunday afternoons.

Well, we continue to thank the Lord for the opportunity to serve in partnership with you in this mission.
Outreach International. We continue to pray that we all will be a blessing and atool to help the missionaries we

serve do the work that the Lord has called them to do. Thank you all for your part in helping make all these things
possible.

May the name of the Lord be praised. May all that we do bring glory and honor to Him.
