Highlights of 4-zone
In addition to Thermatic:
4-zone means: The temperature at the front left, front right, rear left and rear right can be regulated separately, cooling and
heating at the front and rear only through front system, however
Front operating module with display and rear control facility
Activated charcoal filter, pollutant sensor with recirculated air control, 4-quadrant sun sensor for automatic, individual
adjustment of interior temperature and air flow
B-pillar fresh air flow in rear
Operating module with display for separate left/right temperature control in rear.

Evaporator temperature sensor

determines the air temperature at the air outlet of the evaporator.
Coolant pressure and temperature sensor

determines pressure and temperature levels of refrigerant:

control of additional fan
monitoring level
safety shutoff
4x sun sensor
detects the intensity and the angle at which the suns rays strike the vehicle.
Dew point sensor 2-Zone
detects the air humidity, the AC control module uses this measured value for controlling the air drying.
Multifunction sensor 4-Zone
detects the:
ambient temperature
air humidity
pollutant concentration (CO, NOx) of the inducted air
the AC control module uses the data for controlling the:
recirculated air control
operating the AC compressor
Function requirement for automatic recirculated air control:
AC OFF button not operated
Outside temperature >7C
Activated charcoal filter button operated
Recirculated air unit
The temperature at the center vent is regulated (warm/cold) by means of the thumbwheel at the center vent
Refrigerant compressor
stepless actuation by rear SAM (Ni 0/1) to the refrigerant compressor control, control 2-100%
