Pastors Notes:
REVIVAL TIME IS HERE!!!
I can honestly say that Sunday
felt like and looked like revival
is here!!! There was a jubilant spirit in the House
of God, there were salvations, there were healings, there was a spirit of expectation. For almost
1 hour and 20 minutes, we sang, praised, prayed and believed! It was wonderful!!!! Then again
on Sunday night, that same spirit was present and moved among the praise and worship that was
offered to the Lord. This is exactly that for which we have been praying. This is the best
scenario that we could have as our evangelists begin coming in. ALREADY IN A SPIRIT OF
REVIVAL! So this week, I ask you to do several things for me: 1) Keep yourself hot in the
spirit. Keep praying, trusting and believing. Although our corporate fast has ended, fast a meal
and spend that time in prayer for the revival services coming up this weekend. 2) Promote the
revival services. The sure way to insure that none of your family or friends come to the services
is DONT INVITE THEM! But if you promote the services and invite them to come, they are
more likely to come. 3) Pray for our evangelist this week. Bro. Keith Lairsey is a National
Evangelist in the Church of God. He was with us last year and we are blessed to have him return
this year. Pray for him physically that he will be strong and rested. Pray that the Lord gives him
the Word that we stand in need of hearing. Pray that he has a fresh anointing of the Spirit. 4)
Lastly, BE AT EVERY SERVICE!!!!! Saturday service begins at 7:00 PM, Sunday morning
worship at 10:30 AM and Sunday Evening at 6:00 PM. Please, give this time to the Lord and be
with us. I am truly believing that we will have a move of God that will propel us into our future!

anointing

Please pray for our Rick

Lairsey..our Evangelist for the
weekend. Pray for traveling
mercies as he travels here. Pray
for his health.that he will be
well and rested. Pray for the
Lords fresh anointing as he
preaches the Word. Pray that he
hears from the Lord and brings
the Word that the Lord would
have us to hear. Pray for his
family, for his resources, for his
ministry, etc.

WORSHIP WEDNESDAYS!!!!!!!! Join us for our 2nd worship Wednesday at 7:00 PM.
What a wonderful time we had this past week. The presence of the Lord was so strong among
us. Please come prepared to worship Him so that our spirits will be prepared for our Revival
Services.
I know its hard to believe, but EASTER is just 1 month away. I hope that you and I will be
intentional in inviting our lost family, friends and neighbors to be in the church that day. What a
wonderful evangelistic opportunity we have on this day. Many people will go to church on
Easter that will not go any other day of the year. So be intentional in inviting people to be in
church with you. The choir and myself will again this year collaborate and work together to
present the Easter message in Word and Song. I am believing that we will see a great harvest of
souls.

OUR ARM N ARM PROGRAM IS STILL GOING TO MEET NEEDS.-- $2 STILL

FEEDS THE YOUNG MEN IN HONDURAS.
If you can place $2 per week in your tithe envelop and mark it Arm or Arm n Arm, we can send
$150 each month to feed the 10-12 young men in Honduras. These young men have a workshop
at the church and are making beds, tables, chairs, and now hutches and dressers. These young
men have little or no food unless we help them. These young men live at the church because they
have no other place to live. While living there, they clean, repair, set up for programs, and they
guard the church from thieves. They have literally devoted themselves to the church and now
WE have the privilege of BLESSING them with a BASIC necessityfood. Until we started this
program, they went days with no food, however, they still gave themselves as servants to the
Lord and to the church there. $2 goes a long way in Honduras.

As we start our Rekindle Revival services this week, I was reminded of a conversation we had at
our prayer retreat last year. Rekindle means to excite, stir up, or to cause to begin burning again.
The root of that word is kindle which means to start a fire. I told the group that I remember
when my daddy taught me how to make a fire. He showed me to how to get old newspaper pages
and ball them up and make a little pile of them in the fireplace. Next, he told me to get a bunch
of kindling and put on top of the newspaper. Then he lit the newspaper. As the newspaper
burned, it caught the kindling on fire. Once the kindling was burning good, then he added a log
and later more logs. Soon we had a roaring fire to keep our house warm.
The key to starting a good fire is the kindling. You see, the newspaper catches on fire fast but it
also burns up fast. From the burning of the newspaper, the kindling catches on fire fast too but it
takes it longer to burn away. It burns long enough to catch the larger logs on fire.
My daddy had a pile of kindling out near the stacks of fire wood. The kindling pile was made up
of twigs and small branches or small pieces of wood that had splintered off as daddy chopped the
wood. While the larger logs were stacked ever so neatly, daddys pile of kindling was a mess.
After all this kindling was basically discarded pieces of wood. The oddly shaped branches that
the trees no longer needed and the pieces of chipped wood that the bigger logs ridded themselves
of --- made up this pile.
We are to be kindling. God wants to set us on fire. Then He wants to use us to be the source
that will carry His fire from one place to another--- starting in our church, and spreading to our
community, country and world. And God wants to use us for that purpose. How can God use
you? Just like the kindling my daddy used was broken branches and discarded pieces of wood,
sometimes we are broken and discarded too. Whatever has happened in your life, good or bad,
let it work for you and not against you. God works through our brokenness. Whether you have
felt accepted or discarded, let yourself become broken. God wants to use you to spread His Word
to a lost and dying world. LET GOD SET YOU ON FIRE. Remember, kindling is the key to
starting a good fire.

What an awesome time we had in the Lord last Thursday. The Holy Ghost met with us in the
Mancave and if you guys were not in attendance with us....well, you just plain out missed it.
After a great devotion done by Pastor Phil Weathers, he issued a challenge to us, then our
brothers begin to share their perspective and encourage one another in the Lord. Amazing stuff
fellas....God is well pleased. Our food was prepared by brother Steve Collins and let me
say....that chicken stew was great!!! We have such a great group of brothers who are very
talented. Teachers, cooks, builders, workers, singers, leaders... you can't find a better group
anywhere. I am very proud to be a part of "us". I love yall guys! Our next meeting will be April
2nd and our Band Of Brothers counsel is planning for a great event that you will not want to
miss. Make plans now to attend cause it is gonna be good.

FALL SENIOR ADULT REVIVAL:
I know it is early but I wanted you to know that we have secured our Evangelist for this
meeting. Rev. V. R. Le Buhn will be our guest again this year. He did an outstanding job for us
last year and I'm sure he will do so again. He will also be speaking on Sunday morning for our
Senior Adult Sunday. The dates are Oct. 15.16 and 18.

In March on Saturday the 28th we will be having a 70's night at our gameroom that will include
mirror ball, strobe lights, fog machine, decorations, and 70's music. Everyone should dress in
attire from the 70's as we will be voting for prizes on several categories such as most original,
best dresses, etc. Each person is asked to bring some finger foods. This should be lots of FUN!
There will be sign-up sheet is on our bulletin board in the hallway at church. Please invite others
that don't usually participate as people hesitate until someone extends a personal invitation and
shows an interest in getting them involved so they can get to know others in the church.

The Youth are planning to go out and eat after the Saturday Revival Service on March 21.
