2. Basic Concepts

2. BasicConcepts
This section contains definitions and descriptions of the fingerprint
identification systemconcepts,including:
UserEnrollment
UserVerification
MatchThreshold
UserIDNumbers
PrivilegeLevels
The two most important Functions of the device are user enrollment
anduserverification.
2.1UserEnrollment
ForthesameIDnumber,uptotendifferentfingerprintscanbeenrolled.
Theusermayownmuchmoreverificationoption.
Ideally, every finger on each hand should be enrolled, so the user cam
useany of his finger to identify and keep away the troubles duo to he
forget which finger has been enrolled. In normal condition, it is better
thatatlesttwofingerprintsisenrolled,like,leftorrightindexfinger,so
that if an enrolled fingerprint is injured, to alternate the backup
fingerprintisavailable.
2.2UserVerification
Compare the users fingerprint against the stored fingerprint template.
When a user either input an ID number or places a finger on the
fingerprint sensor, then input password or press fingerprint, after
verification process carry out, the system will show whether identify
failure or success and store up the successful result in the device

2. Basic Concepts

VerificationoccurswhenausereitherentersanIDnumberorplacesa
finger on the fingerprint sensor, then input password for comparison
withthestoredtemplate.
2.3 Threshold
The Threshold establishes a balance between False Acceptance Rate
(FAR)andFalseRejectionRate(FRR).FARmeantheprobabilitythata
biometric system will incorrectly identify an individual or will fail to
reject an impostor. The rate given normally assumes FRR measure the
probability that a biometric system will fail to identify an enrolee, or
verifythelegitimateclaimedidentityofanenrolee.
You can set the threshold to all users. For a user whos the fingerprint
verificationisdifficult,youcanadoptID&Fingerprintverification(1:1
verification).
Raisingthethresholdincreasessecurity,whileloweringitincreasespass
rate. The correct balance is vital. For a user whose finger is worn or
injured,thethresholdshouldbereduced.
Note:FARandFRRaffecteachother,ifincreasesFARthenreduce

4.5.3.4 AccessCombination
Unlocking combination is the direct representation of controlling
unlocking.E.g.,ifuserwantsallregistereduserscannotunlock,thenthe

Unlocking combination definition is to define different unlocking

combinations, and each combination is composed of different groups.
Unlocking combination directly uses group number and does not
consider user verification sequence between each group. For example

About Wiegand
The device pursuant the Wiegand standard specified by the Security

AboutPOE
Summary
Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a revolutionary technology that extends
