Mercy Corps is seeking applications from potential candidates for the following positions:
Regional Training Officer-01 Position
(Karachi Based)
Qualifications & Experience:
Masters Degree in social development/Public health or a related field, with at-least 05 years of
professional experience in Public Health particularly RMNCH and SBCC. Ability to develop training
packages, tools and manuals, and roll out training program independently. Experience working with
local civil society and community-based organizations, as well as with governmental organizations will
be a plus. Must be fluent in Urdu and English; fluency in local languages will be required. Computer
Proficiency: MS WORD (Advanced user), MS EXCEL (Advanced user), MS OUTLOOK (Working
Knowledge). Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work
independently and cooperatively with team members.
Responsibilities/Duties:
The incumbent will oversee the training component of Mercy Corps under HCP in Sindh. S/He will
provide technical support in designing, and implementation of trainings and refreshers for LHWs, LHS,
facility based staff, CMWs and project staff in ten districts of Sindh. The person will be responsible to
provide inputs on different training manuals used for training of different health providers. S/he must
possess knowledge and understanding of health issues in Pakistan particularly related to Reproductive
Health & Birth Spacing. S/He must be a good trainer, have good leadership, team building, analytical,
communication and coordination skills. S/He must have basic understanding of the project management
and risk assessment.
District Officer-05 Positions
(Ghotki, Shikarpur, Larkana, Jacobabad & Noshero Feroz based)
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor degree in social sciences or equivalent. At least 05 years of field experience in the social or
development sector, ideally related to the health sector; preferably 03 of these years should be with an
NGO/INGO. At least 01 year of experience directly supervising staff required. Excellent communication
skills (written and oral). Experience with Social and Behavior Change Programming (SBCC) strongly
preferred. Experience coordinating with various district level public sector stakeholders including
Department of Health officials. Must be fluent in Urdu and English; fluency in local languages will be
required. Computer Proficiency: MS WORD (Advanced user), MS EXCEL (Advanced user), MS OUTLOOK
(Working Knowledge). Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines
and work independently and cooperatively with team members.

Responsibilities/Duties:
The incumbent will oversee all of Mercy Corps activities in the assigned district. S/he will oversee an
IPC Officer and a Project Assistant, and will report to the Regional Quality Assurance Officer. The person
will maintain close liaison with district Department of Health and other stakeholders for smooth
implementation of activities, and prepare monthly plans, in close coordination with the Regional Quality
Assurance Officer, to ensure Mercy Corps activities are implemented in accordance with the overall
work plan and are of desired quality. S/he will travel frequently within the assigned district to support
project activities and within the region as and province as well, as required. S/he will be responsible to
prepare monthly progress reports, which integrate with the projects M&E system, and will submit these
to the Regional Quality Assurance Officer.
IPC Officer-05 Positions (Female)
(Ghotki, Shikarpur, Larkana, Jacobabad & Noshero Feroz based)
Qualifications & Experience:
Lady Health Visitor (LHV), or equivalent clinical experience. At least 05 years of experience working as an
LHV with at least 02 years experience working in the social development sector, ideally 01 of which
should be with an NGO/INGO. Proven experience providing on the job mentoring and support to other
staff members. Experience with Social and Behavior Change Programming (SBCC) strongly preferred.
Must be fluent in Urdu and English; fluency in local languages will be a plus. Computer Proficiency: MS
WORD (Advanced user), MS EXCEL (Advanced user), MS OUTLOOK (Working Knowledge). Demonstrated
attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and
cooperatively with team members.
Responsibilities/Duties:
The person will provide technical support to the implementation of all activities at the district level,
reporting directly to the District Officer. The incumbent will support the District Officer in the
development of monthly plans, to ensure Mercy Corps activities are implemented in accordance with
the overall work plan and are of desired quality. S/he will travel frequently within the assigned district to
monitor and lead project activities. S/he will support the development of monthly progress reports,
which integrate with the projects M&E system.
Project Assistant-05 Positions
(Ghotki, Shikarpur, Larkana, Jacobabad & Noshero Feroz based)
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor degree in Social Sciences or equivalent. At least 3 years of field experience in the Social or
Development Sector, preferably 2 of these years should be with an NGO/INGO. Good communication
skills. Excellent data management experience and skills required. Must be fluent in Urdu and English;
fluency in local languages will be a plus. Computer Proficiency: MS WORD (Advanced user), MS EXCEL
(Advanced user), MS OUTLOOK (Working Knowledge).

Responsibilities/Duties:
The person will support the District Officer and district IPC officer in the planning and implementation of
district level activities. S/he will be responsible for data recording and reporting, and will maintain
supporting documents of all project activities implemented in the district. The incumbent will provide
administrative and logistics support in organizing the events and activities at the district level, will
maintain records of the activities, and will support the District Officer in compiling and reporting data.
