VALIDITY EXTENSION OF NEW MITHRAM CUSTOMERS

Normally Validity will be Extended to maximum of 180 days on Pro-rata basis. However
please note down the following informations

1. Always Full Talk Value Offer for Top-up Rs.200 / 500 / 1000 to New Mithram
Customers.
2. Those who are activating Special Tariff Vouchers through C-top-up recharge
(eg.STV135 / 341, DATA STVs etc) continuosly may be properly advised the
above offer. This will help them to save money and vis-a-vis help to extend the
validity period to 180 days. That is a customer who is activating STV135 through
recharge have to pay Rs.135 to the retailor. On the other hand, if the customer
recharges Rs.200 Top-up & subsequently the STV 135 is activated through SMS
(STV<space>VOICE135 to 123) will have to pay only Rs.120, saves Rs.15 since the
customer will get full talk value of Rs. 200 Top-up.
3. The validity period of prepaid New Mithram customers who are falling into GP
(Grace Period) category will be automatically extended for any top-up ranging
from Rs.10 onwards, on pro-rata basis (slide No.4), subject to a maximum of 180
days for topup of Rs.200.

DATA USAGE CHARGES WHILE INTERNATIONAL ROAMING

1. It is observed that many excess-billing complaints are raised by customers

having International roaming facility. Heavy bill is generated due to data usage
while on international roaming, and in most cases the customer claims
innocence of using data or ignorance of data charges while roaming. The only
way to avoid such complaints is to educate the customer about the VERY HIGH
(up to 5000 times of the normal rate) data roaming tariff, at the point of sale
itself i.e. at CSC.
2. At the CSC the front-end personnel can correctly educate the applicant on
the voice and data rates while on international roaming and to visit the site
http://ir.bsnl.co.in/ for any clarification.
3.
While activating international roaming facility, data of the customer
should also be barred with the consent of the customer at CSC itself. After
coming back from abroad, the customer can activate data either by
approaching CSC or by sending
SMS FAC DCT DATABAR to 52244.

BLACK OUT DAYS FOR THE YEAR 2015

(IN KERALA CIRCLE)
As per Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), 5 days in a year shall be
declared as Black-out days
Accordingly BSNL Kerala Circle has decided the following 5 days as Black out
days.
1. Concessional Tariff activated through STVs for all Voice / Roam Free / ISD
/ FNF / FF Landlphone / Plan Freebies / SMS will not be available on these
days. However it is not applicable for data activated through STVs
2. Customers has to Top-up for keeping balance in their main account on
these days, for making voice calls & SMS
