Hyde Park Rental Property Guide

The Hyde Park rental market: upper end

.
Andrew Ellinas, the Managing Directing at Central London estate agents
Sandfords:

"Many ultra high-net worth individuals chose to rent a property in

prime areas because it suits their global lifestyle. We're also seeing a
wealth of enquiries from individuals wary of a possible mansion tax
on owned properties over 2 million, so they are choosing properties
to rent in Central London as a money-friendly alternative."
The Hyde Park Estate continues to provide some of the most expensive
properties to rent in Hyde Park, with examples around Bayswater Road,
Praed Street, Westbourne Terrace and Edgware Road regularly letting for
more than 20,000 per calendar month.
At the upper end of the property market, renting a property isn't considered
second best. Central London estate agent Sandfords is used to helping
tenants for whom renting is a positive choice or a convenient way to have a
base in the capital city.

The Hyde Park rental market: the lower end

According to property portal Zoopla, the average per calendar asking rent in
Hyde Park is 6,960. Entry level properties, however, can be secured for in the
region of 2,000 per calendar month - typically a studio or bijou one-bedroom
flat.

Many of the smaller houses and flats to rent in Hyde Park are taken by
professionals looking for a Monday to Friday pied--terre.

Hyde Park Highlights

Hyde Park is one of London's top tourist attractions and its current
incarnation is a million miles away from its roots - which can be traced back to
the 1500s when it was Henry VIII's prime hunting ground.

Today the park is all about recreation of a more genteel nature, with the 350
acres home to The Lido, The Serpentine Lake and its associated restaurant
and art gallery, the Diana Memorial Fountain, the 7th July memorial and
Speakers' Corner. The park also hosts summer concerts, featuring worldfamous artists.

Hyde Park is also a great destination for those looking to travel across London
on foot or by public transport. Residents can choose from five Tube stations
in the local vicinity: Hyde Park Corner, Knightsbridge, Queensway, Lancaster
Gate and Marble Arch, while Paddington and Victoria mainline stations are
also accessible on foot. The park itself in encircled by a ring road that takes in
part of the A402, the A315 and A4202 - better known as Bayswater Road,
Kensington Road and Park Lane, respectively.
