TENDER NOTICE
Registrar, on behalf of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, B-21, Qutab Institutional
Area, New Delhi 110 016, invites applications with prescribed documents for issue of tender
documents for the work Electrical re-wiring of Hostel I in IIFT Campus, New Delhi from
electrical contractors meeting the following qualifying criteria so as to reach latest by 1600 hrs.
on 12th February, 2009: 1.

Qualifying criteria & Documents to be submitted with the application

To qualify for issue of tender documents for the work, a contractor must
1.

have a valid Electrical Contractors License issued by the Govt. of Delhi. A self
attested copy of the license must accompany the application.

2.

have a valid registration in the appropriate category and class with CPWD/
DELHI PWD/ MES/ P&T/ DDA. A self attested copy of the Registration letter/
certificate must accompany the application.

3.

have a valid registration with local VAT/ Service Tax authority. A self attested
copy of the Registration certificate must accompany the application.

4.

have a valid registration with Income Tax Department. A self attested copy of
PAN card must accompany the application.

5.

have successfully completed, for a Govt. Deptt., PSU or an Autonomous

organization, internal electrification works in its buildings in the following
numbers and magnitudes after Jan.1, 2002:(a) One work costing not less than Rs.10 lakh
OR.
(b) Two works costing not less than Rs. 7 lakh each

In support of this qualification, the application must be accompanied with a

self attested copy of a certificate of satisfactory completion for each work issued by
an officer of the organization ranking not below an Executive Engineer / Manager.
Mentioning the cost of the work, its nature, reference No. of the letter of award of
work, dates of award and completion of the work and whether any penalty was
imposed. Certificates lacking in desired information will not be considered.

Other Information

Estimated cost of the work is Rs. 13,59,012/-.,

Earnest Money is Rs. 27,180/- and is to be deposited in the form of bank draft
favouring Indian Institute of Foreign Trade payable at New Delhi only drawn on a
local scheduled bank along with the application for issue of tender documents.

Cost of tender documents (non refundable) is Rs. 1,000/-. This amount is required to
be paid by the applicant in cash or by a Bank Draft favouring Indian Institute of
Foreign Trade payable at New Delhi drawn on a local scheduled bank when invited
to purchase the tender documents. .

Tenders documents are non transferable.

Time allowed for completion of the work is 4 months.

Applications should be accompanied with all necessary documents and Earnest Money
as specified above failing which the same will be rejected without any notice.
Applications received within the prescribed time will be scrutinized and the firms
found eligible shall be invited to purchase the tender documents. They will also be intimated
the date and time upto which tender documents will be issued against payment of the cost
thereof.
The last date, time and place for submitting sealed tenders in the Institute is indicated
in the tender documents.
The date, time and place of opening of sealed tenders in presence of those tenderers
who choose to be present is also indicated in the tender documents.
