2. LAB AMBIENT CONDITION

3. TEST DESCRIPTION
3.1 The following observations are made on the samples before the Test:
Samples are checked visually and no damages observed on the samples
3.2 Detailed description of the Test:
The equipment is made as per the IEC 60695-2-10
The sample is mounted vertically on a stand.
The test temperature is set at 960 C .
The tip of the glow wire is brought in contact with the thinnest area of cross section of the
Specimen for a period of 30 seconds.
The penetration of the tip is limited to 7mm through the sample.
After 30 seconds the specimen is moved away and the time taken for the flame to get
extinguished and the height of the flame during the time of contact is noted down.
Also, it is observed if the wooden piece wrapped in tissue placed is burnt or not
Perform the test on the samples at different orientations

Detailed Conclusion:
1. Flames and glow on the sample extinguish themselves within 30sec after the removal of the glow-wire.
2. There was no ignition of the tissue paper or scorching of the pinewood board .

Since the tissue paper did not burn during and after glow wire penetration through the sample and no flame observed
on the sample after removal of the glow wire penetration, the test in conformity to the specifications for sample no
201309318_001-01, 02, 04,05 and 06

7. APPENDIX
Akulon Material white samples for Acti9 DBs
It was observed that if plastic material drops directly on tissue paper placed below the sample, it catches fire. If plastic
material drops creeps through the surface of sample and then fall on tissue paper, it does not catches fire.
