SUMMARY

A Christmas Carol, of Charles Dickens, is the book that we read.

Its a story about a man called Ebenezer Scrooge. He is selfish, mean, and a miserly
businessman. He doesnt want to help people and his only interest is work. He treats his
clerk Bob Crachit badly and them he has to work all the days except Christmas Day.
His nephew, who is very kind, try to invite Scrooge to his home but he refuses because
of he hates Christmas.
But on Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his partner Jacob Marley, who
is death seven years ago. Jacob warns him to change if he doesnt want to finish like
him.
This night three spirits visit him.
The Ghost of Christmas Past was the first spirit. He takes Scrooge back to the past and
he shows his schooldays. Scrooge saw himself in the Christmas past and he
remembered what kind he was. But one day he began to be like in the present.
The second spirit was the Ghost of Christmas Present, who comes to show Scrooge
about peoples Christmas. Bob Cratchit's and Scrooge's nephew's families are among
them.
The last visitor was the Ghost of Christmas Future, who offers him the future if he
doesnt change. He shows Scrooge the death of Tiny Tim, the little child of Bob
Cratchit, and his own death.
When Scrooge wake up he is a new man, generous and kindhearted. He went to
celebrate the Christmas day with his nephew and he began to help the poor people.
Scrooge helped Bob Cratchit with all his family and Tiny Tim will live.

ELISAS PERSONAL OPINION

In my opinion, this book is very interesting because its a story with many values, like
happiness, kindness and others that are too important for people. With A Christmas Carol we
can know all about the real spirit in Christmas.
A part from that, this is a very common book. All people know the story. But there are many
adaptations and all of them are different. For me the best one has been this one because tell the
true story about A Christmas Carol. Its the original one.
I like a lot this book and my favourite part it was the scene when Tiny Tim appear in the last
part of the book with Scrooge, who is almost a good person.
There arent parts that I dont like it, but if I have to choose one Ill choose the scene that Tiny
Tim die and when Scrooge was a mean man.
In conclusion, I think this book its important that all people read it because its a very good
story about Christmas. This story will be interesting for children too, because they can see how
the people will be and learn the most important values about live and about Christmas.

MARINAS PERSONAL OPINION

In my opinion, Christmas Carol is a book that I recommend reading because it looks
like the greed to make money and think about yourself, is not going anywhere.
It

is

also

an

easy

book

to

understand

and

simple

language.

Finally, the end of book I like it because with the appear of three spirits, Scrooge
decides to change and become a good person.
BRBARAS PERSONAL OPINION
I already knew this book and in my opinion, the story is very curious and entertaining. I
think that because the story tell us how a selfish man becomes a very good person.
But the most curious is the presence and the aspect of the trhee ghosts. And the aspect of
that ghosts caught my attention, specially the ghost of future because is a dark shadow.
Like
the
dark
future
of
Scrooge.

The story transmit a lot of importants values like be a good person, hapiness or other
things
that
we
should
consider
for
a
better
living.
And in conclusion, I think this book is too easy to read and this is important because the
story should be known to all.
