Illustration :
A Just Judge
This is a picture of God who is just and full of love as a judge that makes just decision over all
sins, therefore sacrificing Himself for our salvation.
What about God? Will He get rid of people who do not follow Him?
What do you think His response will be to those who reject Him? Will
God continue to desire their salvation? Will He continue to seek them
out or reject those that refuse His salvation?
II.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever
believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior who desires all men
to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4)
Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? says the Lord God, and
not that he should turn from his ways and live? (Ezekiel 18:23)
Let the Lord be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.
(Psalms 35:27)
The Bible uses some words to describe sin to us, sin is basically:

c.
Willful ________________________________
This is a situation where a person feels that he is able
to live life without God. An example of this would be a
person who tries to be independent of God because of
pride.
d.
Consequences of Sin:
Consequences of Sin:
Each person is responsible for his own sins (Romans 14:12). The Word of God
says that everyone has sinned and comes short of the glory of God (Romans
3:23), and there is not one person who can declare that he has no sin (1 John
1:8). One big problem that is set before us is that the wages of sin is death
(Romans 6:23). Since there is no one who can save himself from his sins, there is
the certainty of the penalty -death.
IV.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in
us. (1 John 1:8)
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
Because God really loves us, He opens the way of salvation by giving us His Only Begotten Son,
Lord Jesus Christ, to die as a ransom for our sins. His blood is shed for our salvation:

SUMMARY
God desires that we are all be saved. Therefore our sin is the only thing that keeps us from our
salvation. Because of His love, God provides us salvation through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus
Christ. We are able to receive salvation through repentance and receiving Jesus as our Lord and
Savior, and by confessing with our mouth and believing in our hearts that God have raised
Jesus from the dead. By this we are saved and are reconciled to God, thus allowing us to live in
His glory and have eternal life.

Realize your need for Him and repent of your sins. (Acts. 3:19)
Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and then was raised again from the grave
(John 3:36)
Confess your sins (1 John 1:9)
Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come into your life and change your life with His
Holy Spirit. Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior. (John 1:12)
Turn away from whatever the Bible says is sin (This is only possible once Jesus has come
into your life) (Acts 3:19; John 1:12)
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised
Him from the dead, you will be saved For with the heart one believe unto righteousness and with
the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)

INTRODUCTIONS
Goal:
To ensure each student experiences miraculous healing
Matthew 9 : 20 22
16
20
And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind
and touched the hem of His garment.
21
For she said to herself, "If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well."
22
But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, "Be of good cheer, daughter;
your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour.
Now Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great and honorable
man in the eyes of his master, because by him the Lord had given victory to Syria. He
was also a mighty man of valor, but a leper.
3
Then she said to her mistress, "If only my master were with the prophet who is in
Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy."
Then Naaman went with his horses and chariot, and he stood at the door of Elisha's
house.
10
And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, "Go and wash in the Jordan seven times,
and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean."
13
And his servants came near and spoke to him, and said, "My father, if the prophet had
told you to do something great, would you not have done it? How much more then, when
he says to you, 'Wash, and be clean'?"
14
So he went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the
man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
The two stories above are only a part of the many stories of healing in the Bible. There were
many different people who were healed in many different ways; there were no two that were
identical. However, they all experienced total healing!
17
II.
It doesnt matter what our career is or what our purpose in life is;
we need good health to see all of them come to pass. (A.C. Green)
Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,. (Psalms 103:3)
Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was
bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His
stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to
his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.. (Isaiah 53:4-6)
Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching
the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the
people.. (Matthew 9:35)
In the matter of healing, there is definitely a part that we need to do. For instance, we need to
maintain a healthy lifestyle, eat healthy and stay away from unhealthy food.
God is glorified more by those who are alive than
those who are holy but dead.
18
(John 14:20)
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Can we use whatever means and ways to obtain healing? (including paranormal
interventions, witch doctors etc.) Or are there specific restrictions?
for you.

IV.
for you
19
Through the blood of Jesus, we get power and authority over sickness. By His stripes we have
been healed (I Peter 4:24). God created us in His image, and to give us authority:
Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion
over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every
creeping thing that creeps on the earth. (Genesis 1:26)
The power that God possesses has been transferred to us, because God wants to achieve His
purpose through our lives. That includes making us His temple (which is our bodies where He
reigns and does His work) healthy and functioning properly.

Chapter IV Lesson 3
OPENING
The Bible is full of Gods promises of blessings and prosperity for His people. God cares
about your life and He wants to abundantly bless you and meet all of your needs.
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your
soul prospers. (3 John 1:2) (NKJ)
Prosper in all things = prosper in everything. Do you know that repressive poverty is a curse?
The devil wants to rob us of Gods blessing. But God intends for us to live in abundance:
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that
they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly (John 10:10)

If I were hungry, I would not tell you; For the world is Mine, and all its fullness. (Psalm 50:12)
Richness and honor are with me, enduring riches and righteousness. (Proverbs 8:18)
And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth,
that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
(Deuteronomy 8:18)
.. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall
be a blessing.. (Genesis 12:1-3)
And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of
the Lord your God. (Deuteronomy 28:2)
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of
sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His
law he meditates day and night, he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that
brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall
prosper. (Psalm 1:1-3)

Chapter V - Lesson 4
OPENING
Water baptism is the next most significant step in Christianity after salvation. It is not a mere
ceremony like a flag raising ceremony at school or a cake-cutting ceremony during a wedding, etc.
Rather it has a deep spiritual meaning and impact.
The first miracle after the Israelites left Egypt was the parting of the Red sea wherein they walked and
passed the sea on dry ground. (Exodus 14:21-31).
This represents the leaving behind of the old life through the miraculous power of God in water
baptism.
Every believer needs to be water baptized. Water baptism is a demonstration of our obedience in the
natural while declaring a spiritual truth. Through water baptism, we identify ourselves with the death
and resurrection of Jesus.
Through baptism, we declare ourselves dead to our sin and alive in Christs resurrection.
II.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19)
29
There is also an antitype which now saves us, namely baptism (not the removal of the filth of
the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus
Christ (1 Peter 3:21)
Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. And John tried to
prevent Him, saying, I have need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me? but
Jesus answered and said to him, Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all
righteousness. (Matthew 3:13-15)
that we believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
that we are a part of it
that we have nothing to do with it anymore
that we are finished with him and that at this moment belong to God.
30
The word baptism is taken from Greek word baptizo which means :
1.
2.
Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away,
so that the eunuch saw him no more. (Acts 8:39)

Start your prayer with thanksgiving and praises for what God has done
in your life.
Confess all your sins and repent from all unforgiving attitude that the
Holy Spirit reminds you of.
Pray and ask God for the things that you need, and ask in faith.
(Philippians 4:19; 2 Peter 1:3; Matthew 6:33; 1 John 5:14-15)
Pray and intercede for others, for example, for friends or family
members who have not known Jesus, church, government, missionary,
etc. Open your heart for the Holy Spirits guidance and ask specifically
in prayer.
Always remember to give thanks to God for every answered prayer.
Be quiet and allow God speak to you personally.
Pray as though everything depends on God.
Work as though everything depends on you.
In certain instances, prayer needs to be supported by fasting, that is, no eating and/or
drinking for a certain period of time so as to focus ourselves on God. By fasting, we limit
our fleshly desires and strengthen our spiritual life. Fasting is usually accompanied by
praying and reading of the word of God.
To strengthen our prayer in asking God for help (Esther 4:16; Psalm 109:24).
To humble ourselves before God (Leviticus 16:29)
It is a sign of repentance (Joel 2:12)
To minister to God or to prepare ourselves for ministry (Matthew 4:2; Luke 2:37)
To declare mourning (Daniel 10:2-3)
3 Kinds of fasting:
Absolute fast: No eating or drinking for a specified period of time. (Esther 4:16)
Partial fast: No eating, but drinking only.
Abstain from eating certain kinds of food. (Daniel 10:2-3)
38
Abundant blessings always follow people who live according to the Word of God
(Psalm 1:1-3). The Word of God has great power because it is the voice of God itself.
All you need to know about God and about this life are found in the Bible. Therefore,
the Bible is a book that you should adhere to very dearly, because it will bring you
success.
Why we need to study the Word of God:
1.
John 5:39
2.
2 Timothy 3:16-17

Read your bible systematically and regularly. It has been suggested that you dont read
the Bible randomly. You can start with the Gospel of John, and read other Gospels and
finish the New Testament, then proceed on with the Old Testament.
IV.

V.
Choose an appropriate time for yourself, but it has been suggested that
you start your day with devotion (preferably in the morning).
God is worthy of the best of our time, so give Him the best in terms of
your time, dont just grant Him 5 minutes here and there whenever you
can.
Remember that the most important thing is the quality of time, not just
the quantity (how long it is) alone.

Spiritual Formation is the most important event at the end of each lesson in the
School of Christian Growth (SCG) curriculum.
In this class SURE SALVATION, you will be ministered to spiritually while at
the same time obtain lessons covering the following 3 main topics:
1.
2.
3.
In Spiritual Formation, besides getting teachings that enrich your knowledge, you
will also get spiritual ministry, that is:
These experiences are very important to the formation of your Christian faith
that should be both complete and biblical. Such experiences will provide you the
power that is needed to face lifes challenges and temptations as well as stability
in your faith so as not being easily tossed back and forth by false teachings.
Therefore, do not let this wonderful opportunity pass you by.
Spiritual Formation is also a requirement to get your certificate of completion.
43
OPENING
3 kinds of cups:
1. Dirty cups
1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature,
because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward
appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.
2. Broken cups
Matthew 9:12 But when Jesus heard that, He said to them, Those who are well have no need of a
physician, but those who are sick.
John 14:12 Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and
greater works than these he will do.
3. Inverted cups
A cup is made to be filled. A cup that never contains water is not fulfilling the purpose of why it is
made for in the first place. We are created to be filled as well. People, who are not filled with the
power of God through the Holy Spirit in their lives, are not fulfilling the purpose of the Creator.
45
In his letter to the Ephesians, Paul encouraged us to always be filled with the Holy Spirit
(Ephesians 5:18). Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:20), but He needed to
be filled with the Holy Spirit (Luke 4:1,14). The apostles needed to be filled (Acts 2:2-4), and
Paul was also needed to be filled with the Holy Spirit. If great characters of faith in the bible
needed the Holy Spirit, the more we do.
Ephesians 5:18 - And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit.
Matthew 1:20 - an Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do
not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
Luke 4:1, 14 - Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan In the
power of the Spirit to Galilee...
Acts 2:2-4 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled
the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and
one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other
tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
II.
46
He is in our daily life, communicating with us, opening Himself to us, and waiting for us to
open ourselves to Him. He is an individual, therefore is speaking to us individually too. Every
believer must know the power of Holy Spirit that brings life and strength to them daily.
Without Him, we cant live in Gods power or know the power of God in our lives. In order to
live to the fullest, we need the gift from God our Father, which is the Holy Spirit.
John 7:38-39 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow
rivers of living water. But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him
would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of
His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against
the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,
against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the
whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having
done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having
put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the
preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which
you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the

1 Corinthians 2:9-16 But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have
entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love
Him." But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all
things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the
spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the
Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is
from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the
Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does
not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he
know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all
things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For "who has known the mind of the
LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

Holy Spirit baptism is given to those who desires it, by faith. It is a free gift from Jesus Christ for His

Galatians 3:2-5 - This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of
the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now
being made perfect by the flesh? Have you suffered so many things in vain--if indeed it was in
vain? Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do
it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Luke 11:11-13 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if
he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he

much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!"

Some diseases are caused by the bondage of the power of darkness. Not only diseases, but there are
some weaknesses of a Christian that may also be caused by this bondage. The existence of the spirit
and power of darkness realm is a fact in a Christians life. In this lesson, you will understand the
reality of the power of darkness and how you can overcome it. God has freed you and you are free
indeed!
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, If you abide in My word, you are My disciples
indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Therefore if the Son makes
you free, you shall be free indeed." (John 8:31-32, 36)

Many people think that those things are common and not harmful as long as they do not
endanger others, or even help others. They believe in black magic and white magic. They
differentiate good spirits from evil spirits. The truth is that many evil spirits appear to be
good spirits only to deceive human. Every spirit of the devil is evil, even if they transform to
be the angel of light:
And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light
(2 Corinthians 11:14)
56
Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I
am the LORD your God. (Leviticus 19:31)
And the person who turns after mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I
will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people. (Leviticus 20:6)
And when they say to you, Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,
should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living? To the law
and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in
them (Isaiah 8:19-20)
There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the
fire m or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a
sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For
all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the
LORD your God drives them our from before you (Deuteronomy 18:10-12)
Involvement with evil spirit (fortune telling, horoscope, white magic, witchcraft, etc) is
prohibited because:

Ezekiel 28:12-16 - By the abundance of your trading you became filled with violence within, and you sinned;
therefore I cast you as a profane thing out of the mountain of God; and I destroyed you,. O covering cherub,
from the midst of the fiery stones.
58
To oppose God, His kingdom, and His people (1 Chronicles 21:1, Ezekiel 28:12-15)
Now Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel.
To brings us death (Hebrews 2:13, Jude 9, John 8:44)
And again: I will put My trust in Him. And again: Here am I and the children whom God has given me.
And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.
(Matthew 17:18)
Though the devil and his works exist, but Christians shouldnt fear him. Jesus Christ the Lord
has defeated the devil and all his angels.
Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He
poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors. (Isaiah 53:12)
But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. When a strong
man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace (Luke 11:20-21)
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting
down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought
into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)
IV.
DELIVERANCE MINISTRY
When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast
out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick (Matthew 8:16)
59
And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to
cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease (Matthew 10:1)
And He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. So it was, when the demon had gone out, that
the mute spoke; and the multitudes marveled (Luke 11:14).
Bottom line is that deliverance ministry is to release people whose body, soul, and spirit are
bound by the power of darkness, with the authority of Jesus name.

However, Christians can be bothered if we open our lives to the devil, for example by
sinning and being unwilling to repent, keeping unresolved issues/bitterness, and being
involved in occult practices (whether its on purpose or not).
