Dad forces seven-year-old to beg for money from neighbours

SEREMBAN: A young boy, whose mother died about a year ago, has been living a
nightmare abused and forced to beg for money from neighbours.
At an age where he should be in school, the boy, is kept at home and has often been
physically abused by his father.
On Wednesday, the boy was again hit by his father with a belt after he came home
empty handed after being asked by the man to buy two sticks of cigarettes from a
nearby shop.

house in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, is well known.
Mother, Sarah Joseph ran after the men who had snatched her 20-month-old son
Freddie, but she couldnt stop them from driving away with him. The news quickly
spread through social media and made headlines, as cases of childrens abduction
always do.
There was certainly a collective sigh of relief when Freddie was found 18 hours after
his abduction.

Four suspects in child murder case further remanded

KUALA TERENGGANU: Four suspects believed to be involved in the murder of a

two-year-old child in Paka last week are being further remanded until this Feb 3.
Last Tuesday, the little girl was found dead, believed to be murdered at a vacant
house in Taman Permint, Seberang Paka, Dungun.
The body was found by a security guard. Police managed to arrest four suspects,
aged between 25 and 28, including the victims mother soon after in and around
Paka.

Girl, 12, living in extortion nightmare

NIBONG TEBAL: A 12-year-old schoolgirl has been frequently assaulted, by two girls
and a male youth who were extorting money from her.
He found out about his daughters problem on July 3 when one of the female bullies
went to his house in Taman Mega Jaya, Simpang Ampat, to demand RM170 from his
daughter.
That was when my daughter confessed to me that the girls and the youth used to
ask her for protection money and would assault her if she did not pay them, he said.

NIBONG TEBAL: A 17-year-old boy was arrested outside a womens hostel in Taman
Gamelan, Sungai Bakap near here, minutes after robbing a Vietnamese woman.
Policemen saw him behaving suspiciously and stopped their patrol car to question
him.
The police said four cellular phones worth about RM3, 000 were recovered from the
suspect and the knife believed used in the robbery was found nearby.
The 36-year-old victim was sleeping in the living room alone on the ground floor of
the double-storey house said the police.

Teenagers arrested for bullying a student

JOHOR BARU: Police arrested two teenage boys after a video of them bullying a
senior secondary student went viral online.
In the 2-minute 59-seconds video, recorded by one of the suspects, showed the 17year-old victim being slapped several times by the other suspect.
Based on initial investigations that we received, the two boys have a grudge against
