SEREMBAN: A young boy, whose mother died about a year ago, has been living a
nightmare abused and forced to beg for money from neighbours.
At an age where he should be in school, the boy, is kept at home and has often been
physically abused by his father.
On Wednesday, the boy was again hit by his father with a belt after he came home
empty handed after being asked by the man to buy two sticks of cigarettes from a
nearby shop.

BY now, the story of how a toddler was snatched from the compound of a terrace
house in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, is well known.
Mother, Sarah Joseph ran after the men who had snatched her 20-month-old son
Freddie, but she couldnt stop them from driving away with him. The news quickly
spread through social media and made headlines, as cases of childrens abduction
always do.
There was certainly a collective sigh of relief when Freddie was found 18 hours after
his abduction.

NIBONG TEBAL: A 17-year-old boy was arrested outside a womens hostel in Taman
Gamelan, Sungai Bakap near here, minutes after robbing a Vietnamese woman.
Policemen saw him behaving suspiciously and stopped their patrol car to question
him.
The police said four cellular phones worth about RM3, 000 were recovered from the
suspect and the knife believed used in the robbery was found nearby.
The 36-year-old victim was sleeping in the living room alone on the ground floor of
the double-storey house said the police.
