INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this document is to instruct the reader on the process to Lock and UNLOCK board.
Dependencies and Conditions:
CAUTION: Locking a Digital Unit (DU) or a Radio Unit (RU) stops all traffic on the
unit. This can cause reduced capacity, and in cases of a single DU
configuration, can cause a total traffic stoppage.
IMPORTANT:
Job Aids are intended as a reference to assist the user in diagnosing and trouble shooting alarms. They should
be considered as a work in progress and will need to be updated from time to time depending on network changes.
If while using this job aid you discover an error or a need to update the procedure to meet current network
configurations, you should contact the author with the following information:

Additional Information
When a boards administrativeState is set to LOCKED, the traffic on the board ceases immediately. When the board is
LOCKED, no new alarms are issued and all alarms issued earlier by the board are ceased automatically. It is possible to
perform operation and maintenance on the board, provided the board is still in the subrack and is included in the current
configuration. Yellow LED is constantly illuminated for PlugInUnit and AuxPlugInUnit.
