Professionalism in engineering relates to the
APEGBC Code of Ethics that provides guidance
on professional and ethical conduct (more
information in other parts of this course)
Some companies have adopted a Code of
Conduct that may relate to additional aspects of
professional behaviour
Professionalism matters may relate, for example,
to competency; conflict of interest; perception of
conflict of interest; confidentiality; use of company
documentation; respect for privacy; environmental
responsibility; cultural sensitivity; equity;
discrimination; harassment; occupational health
and safety; alcohol and drug use;
