CONTRACT TERMS
1.

I can devote the time required to participate in this production. I understand that I MUST attend ALL
rehearsals for the part I am cast for according to the published rehearsal schedule (and any added). I
understand that I will be dismissed from the cast for tardiness, and/or unexcused absences. I will make
every effort to avoid scheduling routine doctor and/or personal business appointments during the
scheduled rehearsal times. I understand that any excused absence requires an approved absentee request
form to be signed at least three days prior to the absence.

2.

I understand that I must attend school in order to participate in rehearsals and the actual production. It
is against school policy for me to be absent from school and attend rehearsal and/or the production on
the same day. YOUR FAILURE TO UNDERSTAND AND ABIDE BY THIS POLICY COULD
JEOPARDIZE THE ENTIRE PRODUCTION AND EVERYONE IN IT.

3.

I understand that I may be dismissed from the company for serious violation of school regulations
including illegal activities with respect to drugs or alcohol. The same school regulations that apply
during school hours are also extended to cover any and all school related activities whether they occur
on school property or not.

4.

I understand that I will be dismissed from the company if I fail to maintain an acceptable grade point
average. I understand that I must pass with a passing grade or better in core academic subjects.
I understand that my third marking period grades may be used to determine if I may continue to
participate in the production.

5.

I understand the necessity to learn my lines in a timely manner and agree to do so by the deadline date.

6.

I will approach the problems of rehearsal and performing a musical/play with energy, excitement,
enthusiasm, and respect. I understand the necessity for cooperation and DISCIPLINE in the Performing
Arts. I will be quiet when others are working and attentive when I am working in order to give all
members of the company the best atmosphere in which to attain the goal of achieving the best show
possible. I understand that as the date of the show approaches it may be necessary to spend additional
time in rehearsal. This will include the possibility of longer rehearsal times, additional rehearsal times,
and/or weekend rehearsal times.

7.

I will make myself available for costume fittings as necessary. I understand that I may be required to
provide portions or all of the costumes for the part I am cast for. Any costume provided to me by the
school will be returned in the same manner in which it was loaned.

8.

I will devote time and effort to promote the show. This includes selling program advertising,
distributing show publicity, selling tickets and fundraising.
a) I understand that I will be required to sell at least one ad for the program for this show
(Minimum $40).
b) I understand that I will need to provide items for sale at the concessions or provide $5 in
lieu of sale items.
c) I will provide in a timely manner for any other funds as required by all cast for the
production.
d) I understand that I am responsible for all ticket and advertisement monies, which I collect.

9.

As part of my commitment to the play/musical, I will devote at least 5 hours of construction/painting

time during the course of set construction/painting/production.

10.

Mobile phones and Text Messenger devices: Use of any electronic device is forbidden during the
Rehearsal process. Phones may be used during breaks or when the Director advises.
IF PRODUCTION PARTICIPANTS ARE FOUND TO BE USING THE MOBILE PHONE OR
TEXTING DEVICE DURING REHEARSALS OR PERFORMANCES, PHONE WILL BE
