Should juveniles have the same sentences as Adults

Host Intro:
Each year, nationwide thousands of children are being held in jails and prisons
across the United States. More than 3,000 of these children have life sentences in
prison without parole and will never see life out side prison again. Children as young
as 13 are being tried as adults for similar crimes and are sentenced to die in prison,
without the consideration of their ages. Many people believe that at age 13 or 16
your decisions are not as mature as an adults in the same situation. Kean University
student, Lena Johnson agrees with the unfair treatment children at a young age
must deal with.

Not all students at Kean feel the same way about the problem. Joe Fuoco, and senior
at Kean, thinks other wise.

Murder I think its a totally different story

your old enough to take the full penalty .

Host Close:
While many of these children in the prison system lose their childhood for adult
committee crimes. Many people feel that putting children not old enough to drink or
drive and sentence them to the death penalty is curl treatment.

also morals and you can change that.

If its murder, I think its a whole different story because I feel if your old enough to
commit the murder, then your old enough to take the full penalty.
