1) NON CONFORMITIES
Nonconformity refers to a failure to comply with requirements.
A requirement is a need, expectation, or obligation. It can be stated or implied by an
organization, its customers, or other interested parties.
There are many types of requirements. Some of these include quality requirements, customer
requirements, management requirements, product requirements, and legal requirements.
Whenever your organization fails to meet one of these requirements,
a nonconformity occurs.
ISO 9001 lists quality management system requirements.
When your organization deviates from these requirements, a nonconformity occurs.
When one or more characteristics of a product fail to meet specified requirements, it is
referred to as a nonconforming product.
When a product deviates from specified product requirements, it fails to
conform. Nonconforming products must be identified and controlled to prevent unintended
use or delivery.

Description of the Non Conformity:

There was a big ditch nearby the students gathering point without proper signaling.
Legal references violated:
G.050 Standard Art. 2.8.1
The perimeter of the excavation shall be protected by a fence located at a distance equal to
2/5 the depth of the excavation and never less than 2 m, measured from the edge of the
excavation.
Unsafe Acts: None.
Unsafe Conditions: Lack of CPE (railings or signaling).

Description of the non-conformity:

The scaffolding that is been used is not certificated according to the G050 standard. It
has no railings, it is not attached to a nearby structure and it has no skirting.
Legal references violated:

G.050 Standard Art. 2.3.2

Scaffolding to be used at work, whatever its type correspond to the design of a responsible
professional, to ensure load capacity, stability and safety ratio is not less than 2.
Scaffolds that are based on the field should have an element of burden sharing.
Scaffolds shall be fixed to the building in such a way to ensure verticality and avoid rocking
movements.
The platform movement and work on scaffolding wood be not less than thickness of 5 cm (2 ")
and a minimum width de25cm (10").
The minimum platform width is 50 cm.
Working platforms shall have a railing (protection towards the outside of the scaffold. Also
the joints of the boards will be in support of the scaffold and with not less than 30 cm
overlap.
Boards that make up the working platform shall not exceed more than 30 cm from the support
of the scaffold.
Mobile scaffolds shall have stabilizers to prevent movement. Do not move a mobile scaffold
personnel or materials on it.
To avoid falling tools or materials will be placed on both longitudinal edges of a board that
will stem foot or via socket, not less than 10 cm (4 ") high.

certified scaffolding)

Description of the non-conformity:

The electrical cable that goes from side to side of the project is not properly hanged.
Also it is been support by a metallic structure
Legal references violated:
G.050 Standard Art. 2.7
Electrical connections shall be performed by qualified personnel.
Or rotating parts are in motion (shafts, pulleys, belt) are protected to prevent them from
taking the clothes of the workers.
All electrical equipment must have ground to prevent the worker is a victim of electric shock.
The equipment must be inspected regularly.
Security protections for maintenance should be repaired, be replenished immediately.
This will avoid the cables or equipment are in contact with water.

No electric cables must be attached to metal structures.

Do not put out an electrical fire with water, dry powder or C02 is used. The operated using a
fire extinguisher must not be closer than 4 m away to avoid arcing.
Do not disconnect switches without knowing the extent of the outage.
Tools have the handle of insulating material.
Safety shoes must be dielectric.
Dielectric gloves will be used.
Armed precarious poles with lamps - not looking to be used.
Ladders used by electricians are no metal, only wood or plastic ladders are used.

Description of the Non Conformity:

The security guards allowed a civilian enter to the workplace
without safety shoes.
Legal references violated:
G.050 Standard Art. 1.10.1
Appropriate work clothing to the station and the work to be performed (shirt and pants or
coveralls or overalls).Unsafe Acts: Entering the workplace without the basic PPE (safety
shoes).
Unsafe Conditions: Letting someone enter without basic PPE (safety shoes).

Description of the Non Conformity:

End of steel bars were not covered with protective caps
Legal references violated:
G.050 Standard Art. 2.1.1
The work area shall be free from sharp object (nails, wires, iron bars, etc.) And substances
such as fats, oils or other, that may cause slipping accidents. Should also eliminate live
conductors protect existing public facilities: water, sewage, and so on.

Unsafe Conditions: Lack of protective caps in end of steel bars

Description of the Non Conformity:

The entrance to the construction site was demolished including part of the sidewalk,
making it
risky to walk through that area
Legal references violated:
G.050 Standard Art. 1.5.1
The workplace should have the necessary steps to ensure the safety and health of workers
conditions. Will be maintained in good condition and properly marked paths to all workplaces.
All necessary measures will be taken to protect people who are in the workplace and its
surroundings for all risks that may arise from the same precautions must be taken. The entry
and transit of persons from outside the work must be using the required personal protective
equipment, and shall be regulated by the responsible of Security of the Work.
Unsafe Acts:

Workers and pedestrians walking through that area.

Unsafe Conditions: The damaged area was not properly marked and signposted.

2) TRAINING PROGRAM
The training Program for the Construction Industry provides training for workers and
employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health
hazards in workplaces in the construction industry. The program also provides information
regarding workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. This is a
voluntary program and does not meet training requirements for any OSHA standards.
Through this program, the 40 workers will attend classes delivered by trainers in the work
site. Through this training, the company helps to ensure that workers are more
knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights, and contribute to our nation's
productivity.
