Dr. Rajendra D. Badgaiyan Accepts Position At United Scientific Group (USG)
Santa Clara, CA, May 7th, 2015: Effective immediately, United Scientific Group (USG)
has appointed Rajendra D. Badgaiyan, MBBS, MD, MA, to the positions of Founding
Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Neuroimaging in Psychiatry and Neurology (JNPN)
and Co-Founding Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Reward Deficiency Syndrome
(JRDS). To facilitate his new appointment, Dr. Badgaiyan resigned his position at
OMICS Groups journals to pursue a position that is more aligned with his passions. Dr.
Badgaiyan said he has fond memories of his time with OMICS and is thankful for the
relationships he developed while working at the journal.
Rajendra D. Badgaiyan received his MBBS, MD and MA degrees from Bhopal
University, India. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at the Harvard Medical
School, Boston, MA. He also received the degree of Master of Medical Science (MMSc)
from Harvard University and completed clinical research training at Harvard-MIT
program. He served in the faculty of Harvard Medical School before moving to
University of Minnesota. Dr. Badgaiyan is a distinguished member of various renowned
societies including Society of Nuclear Medicine, American Psychiatric Association,
Society for Neuroscience and many more. He has published more than 75 high impact
research articles and was honored as a speaker in many national and international
conferences. He is currently Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroimaging Scholar at the
University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He is also director of the Laboratory of Advanced
Radiochemistry and Molecular and Functional Imaging Laboratory at the University of
Minnesota. He serves as the Founding Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Neuroimaging
in Psychiatry and Neurology (JNPN) and co- Founding Editor-In-Chief of the Journal
of Reward Deficiency Syndrome (JRDS) and is one of the founder members of USG
Editors Association (USGEA).
