Q and A

1. What is the essence of being gay?

The essence of being a gay is the same with the essence of both man and a woman. Gays have
the same rights in the society to express feelings, to exercise his capacity in order to show that he
is capable of doing many things in life. Meaning gays are normal in all aspects; the fact gays are
talented and very well known in almost all fields.
2. Do you feel members of the gay community be given special treatment by society in general? Why?
Men and women are created by God equal. So are we, gays need not to have special treatment
by the society since we are all equal in the eyes of God. What I think should be recognized is that
we have been blessed with special features, qualities and talents that needed to be specially
shared,
3. As Catholics, we all believe that the Bible is an important guide in our lives. It is written explicitly in
the Bible that there should be no sexual contact between two people of the same gender. What is
your opinion on this?
While the Holy Scripture is believed the word of God, remember that there are two parts of the
Bible, the Old and the New Testament. Where in the Old Testament, God condemned the sexual
acts between two same persons, but in the New Testament, Jesus was born to renew the
commandments and what is greater than ever is the commandment of expressing LOVE to
everyone. I believe, God made us a purpose to live as gays, and one of which is to express the
love we feel and flourish the true essence of love that is equality among men.
4. As of the moment, the Catholic Church does not adhere to gay marriages. If your partner asks you to
get married but you will have to change religion would you do it? Why?
I believe that there is love when there is faith. No matter what religion you are into, for as long as
there is love between two persons and if God will always be the same center of your relationship,
there will be no questions about having my religion changed or having married in another way.
Afterall, it is love that joins together two persons for the rest of their lives.
5. How would you change the image of promiscuity among gay people?
I do not encourage myself promiscuity or having practice of having casual sex frequently with
different partners. With this, it will live as an example to others in the gay community, besides,
when there is proper dissemination of the possible effects of this practice like having inflicted with
diseases, this may caution fellow gays.
6. What do you accomplish when you join a beauty pageant originally created for women?
The greatest accomplishment, I believe when joining beauty pageants like this is the development
of my self-determination to win. When I am determined in life, it encourages me to do better if not
bring out the best in me which I would like everyone to see and emulate. And most of all, having
the opportunity to show real beauty, talent and wit is another achievement.
7. In the case of Jennifer Laude, do you think she might also be at fault? Why?

Who am I to judge Jennifer, especially that she has now joined our Creator! But perhaps, this will
serve a lesson to those who goes out with persons they only met and have no knowledge what
they really are. Besides, better be a true person Do not go out with others when you already
have a love one or a partner.
8. Who would you give more importance to your mother who accepts you who you are or your
boyfriend who loves you of who you are? Why?
Do I really need to make a choice between them? If I have to, I definitely will choose my mother.
She gave birth to me, raised me up of who I am now and the first to believe I am especially created
for the love of mankind. Definitely, if my boyfriend really loves me, he will never make give me a
choice between him and my mother. If in that case he will, I am pretty sure, there will come
another person who will love me more afterall; I am raised by my mother the right way above
all, lovable.
9. If you undergo genital change and be a transgender, does that mean that you are now a woman in all
aspects?
Let us not fool a fool, they say! The genitalia are not the real measure of being a woman. Afterall,
when you are a gay of real value and essence, I believe that is more important.
10. One of the essences of being a woman is the ability to bear a child. Does that make you less of a
woman? Why?
Definitely not! The ability to love truly, I believe makes the truest essence of being gay. What
makes me more than a woman, I think is to be able to develop my talents and skills to the best and
be able to share it to humanity without having though of something in return from anyone, after all,
the truest reward will come from God.
11. If you are infected with HIV, would you tell your partner right away? Why?

am able to know how truthful my partner would also be with me if he truly loves me or not.
12. As a gay person, what makes you different from that of a typical female?
I believe we are created with individual differences. I also believe that we are endowed with
different talents, qualities and personalities. I think that makes me different with another person
or with a typical female. All of us are created in the image and likeness of God, but definitely, it is
how we make ourselves as a person that makes us different from one another.
