1. Modern technology has influenced peoples entertainment and made people less creative.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Whether technology makes people more or less creative is a subject of controversy. Some people
think that the development of technology leads people to a wider creative horizon while others
claim that creativity is put in danger. I strongly disagree with the latter view for the following
reasons.
In brief, creativity really blossoms in times of technology because it transforms peoples lives in
work, communication and health.
2. To be label a work of art, a painting, sculpture or other art form should display certain
qualities that are unique. However, over the past century there has been a decline in the
quality of prize-winning artwork and it is now possible for quite ordinary pieces of art to
be labeled masterpieces whilst true works of art pass unnoticed. To what extent do you
agree or disagree?
Whether the quality of art is declining remains controversial. Some people claim that the
economic and educational grow have a positive effect on art while others think that artistic
quality is put in danger in modern world. I strongly agree with the ..view for the following
reasons.
3. For or against sex education?
The issue of teaching sex education at school remains controversial. Some people think that this
policy has positive effects on psychology of students while others think that it can waste
governments money. My essay will discuss both sides of this problem.
4. A global language endanger national language?
English is gaining its popularity in our modern life. Some people believe that behind this trend is
the possible extinction of national language of each country. I disagree with this statement for the
following reasons.
It is first argued that with the prevalence of one language, for instance, English, the national one
is seriously put in danger. No sooner do young generation grow up and become exposed to the
global language too early than they make little effort to learn their own countrys language. This
might be
5. The boom of technology is conducive to diversifying our workplace than ever. It is quite a
common sense that there are people making money through phone contacts and online system,
which leads some people to believe that there is no need for going to work and school arriving. I,
however, totally disagree with this idea for the following reasons.

Admittedly, the appearance of telecommunication is seen as an effective way to connect people

from all walks of life. Workers just stay at home and finish their task while students are able to
create online conferences with their friends, debating their academic problems. However, it is
undeniable that telecommunication is gaining its popularity, but it can not totally replace the role
of social working places. At home, it is highly likely that workers can be disturbed by childrens
crying or involved in time-wasting online games, while their work deadline is calling their
name .Also, according to social studies, despite the fact that people grow multi-tasking, by virtue
of telecommunication, their tasks are mixed randomly, which results in their greater stress. At the
same time, an escalating number of people who undergo a series of physical ills, such as
digestive problems, hypertension and insomnia are officially recorded, as a result of
telecommunication overload. With the dearth of face-to-face conversations, modern people, too,
become more self-centered and alienated from each other. It is believed that technology, say,
telecommunication is not the first catalyst, but it actually exacerbates this connection. In this
case, how could people obtain mutual sympathy to reach the zenith of work deals? Ironically,
such technology is born to facilitate our work, but eventually, makes us less productive.
Some people think that it is more effective for students to study in groups, while others
believe that it is better for them to study alone. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Plan your essay:
1. Introduction: study in groups or alone, sometimes better alone, usually better in a group
2. Body
2.1 Benefits of studying alone (1)
(2)Concentrate better, no distractions, focus on the task, (3)read books or articles, study at
own pace. E.g. when revising for an exam, (4)memorise information
2.2 (1)Benefits of group study (my view)
(2)More ideas, share knowledge, gather more information e.g (3)research project,(2) learn
from each other, (4)more motivating, responsible to the group, sense of competition
(develop ideas in detail, keep asking yourself why?, think of examples to support your
ideas, finally, try to group related ideas)
School children are becoming far too dependent on computers. This is having an
alarming effect on reading and writing skills. Teachers need to avoid using computers in
the classroom at all costs and go back to teaching basic study skills.
Do you agree or disagree?
Nowadays, technological advances and their rapid and wide applications are having a
significant impact on numerous aspect of life. Schooling is not an exception, students now

receive photocopy instead of messy ink and pen. Computer has been played an integral part in
education, some consider it as an alarming effect to reading and writing skills, others see it as a
stunning development. From my point of view, the latters idea is satisfactory.
The first thing that should be taken into consideration is the amount of time that could be
saved. Thank to computer, students no longer spend much time on copying information from
blackboard. Alternatively, by this flexible device, information can be transformed through email
imediately. Time that is saved could be used for several other purposes.
Beside the point above, without computer, human must learned to cope with a serious
problem handwriting. For instance, doctors handwriting has been complained for years
because of its illegible. Due to e-prescription, patient now could choose the right medicine
without confusion.
An other advantage of computer is that it could be connected to the Internet. The net lead
us to a brand new world where information could easily be found just by a simple click of
mouse. Through this system, student could find useful information easily at home regardless of
the time or spaces problem.
Hence, there is no doubt that what computer has been doing does numerous good for our
kind. Instead of ignoring it, we should be more opend up to new technological developments./.

Answer 2:
Nowadays computers are widely used in all the spheres of human life. This has heavily impacted
every nook and corner of world. The usage of computers nowadays starts with cradle to the
grave. So it is suggested that teachers should avoid using computers in the classroom ambience
and concentrate more in the traditional reading and writing skills with traditional practices. I
totally accede with the notion of the statement.
As per my view, usage of the computers in the early stage of life has numerous determinental
consequences. The early usage of technical gadgets has led to improper development of mental
abilities of an individual. Because first of all when children start reading books on computers and
on smartphones their reading ability will definitely diminish. According to a recent survey
nowadays in developed countries children can read the books on portable devices such as I pads
and other smartphones, which further have negative impacts on the overall development of
children.
Further, using advanced technical equipments have harmful impact on the writing skills of
children also. Firstly, by using such intelligent devices children will definitely lack their writing
skills. Because with the usage of the computers in the classroom children are discouraged to use
pencils and pens and thereby lack of writing skills will be increased. Moreover, by following
such kind of practices there is no mental exercise for children. For example, improper brain
functions will develop in children. Many developed countries are already suffering from mental
diseases owing to the rampant use of such technical devices.
In a gist, I would like to say that, in order to improve mental and intellectual growth of children
technical devices such as computers and smartphones should be avoided by educators. I totally
assert with such practice.
Answer 3:

Today, modern technology has totally changed our approach to study. In many countries students
no longer have to copy notes by hand from the blackboard; instead the teacher gives them a
photocopy. Rather than messy ink and pen, students present a typed-up copy of their
assignments. Their computer even checks their spelling as they go. In fact, some people believe
that modern technology does a lot of our thinking for us and, as a result, we are going to lose our
ability to think for ourselves.
In my opinion, spelling skills have definitely deteriorated in recent years. So many young people
use mobile phones to send text messages where speed and conciseness are more important than
spelling or grammar. Some teachers complain that these students take the same attitude toward
their assignments.
On the other hand, typed assignments are much easier to read and are much neater. Frankly, I
find some notes or texts which are handwritten almost impossible to read. Doctors, for example,
have a reputation for illegible handwriting, which could lead to disastrous medical mistakes.
Perhaps it is time we focused not on handwriting but on presenting information as accurately as
possible.
One advantage of computers is that access to the Internet has opened up a new world of learning
for us. We no longer have to wait for a book that has already been borrowed from the library
before we do our research. In fact, the Internet can clearly be used to research information in the
same way as a library but more conveniently.
On the whole, rather than holding students back, I believe modern technology has actually
improved standards of education considerably.
